This is a nice adapter for when you need to charge two low power USB-A devices. I did discover that when I plugged it in to my backup battery, which has a meter for each port, that it displayed a low current, even though I had nothing plugged into either USB-A port. I assume that there must be electronics in the split portion that consumes some energy.

I use a usb hub for peripherals with my MacBook Air. After a few years one of the ports wore out. In the local stores usb hubs were selling for $50-80. I bought one on Amazon for $16, but it had too many usb-c ports instead of usb-a ones. This vice nicely connected two usb-a devices to my new usb-a hub port. Both work simultaneously well. Problem solved. I'm pleased.

I got this because i had a different one but it was fit loosely and move around a lot and disconnect. This wire is a nice and tight fit and it doesn't move or disconnect. It was very durable. I'm so glad i got this it was definitely worth the money.
