I ordered these Bat Cat Large Handles Kitchen Ambidextrous Scissors for Women, Large Grip Openings Kitchen Utensils bat themed kitchen scissors because I loved the slightly macabre theming.I’ll admit it, I have a soft spot for amusingly themed kitchen equipment. My husband and teenage son both love the macabre. So when I saw these bat themed kitchen shears, I couldn’t resist.I was pleased to discover that these scissors were also sturdy and well made. The bat shaped handles are amusing and whimsical, they also can be used either left or right handed. My son and I are lefties, my husband right handed, so this is super convenient.The gap between the handles is serrated and great for opening lids on bottles. My Madagascar vanilla bottle top always gets stuck, but a twist from the bottle opener on these scissors, and it twists right off.The scissors measure about 8 1/2†tall and are about 4†at the widest part (the edge of the bat wings/handles.)Strong, sturdy, and lovely theming. If you’re an Addams family fan, love Halloween, enjoy bats, Batman, or the macabre, you’ll enjoy these bat-themed kitchen scissors a lot. They’re also great for cutting up cardboard.

I really like this product, it looks great, the quality is excellent, the color and details look great. I like the sizes and it does its job. Necessary in the kitchen.

These are super cute but functional kitchen scissors. They work great for cutting and they fit my style perfectly. The quality seems to be good, and they are easy to wash.

At first I thought these would be some Halloween rip off product. However, first impressions were a solid build and a nice feel.Now that I've had time to use them, they are A-OK for general kitchen use. I especially like that they are ambidextrous (good for righties and lefties) since we have both in our family. I think all scissors should be built with that feature. Funny that they don't emphasize that in the ad copy.I haven't had occasion to use the bottle opener nor the lid wrench so can't comment.Since these are currently less than $10 with the discount, they are a no-brainer if you need some good quality kitchen utility shears.

I admit, I totally got these utility shears because they have a bat on them. They are sharp enough to use in the kitchen or around the house. They work super well for anything that I have had to use them for so far. These have an extremely comfortable grip, with handles wide enough to fit all 4 fingers in them. I love the color & design of them, & you can clearly see the bat shape. These are easy to use, & smooth to cut with. They are a great value, & hold up well.

I have the more popular brand of bat themed scissors and have been using them for quite a while, so I ordered these to see how they stacked up. As you can see in the picture, they are nearly identical. Slight variations in the aesthetic are the only differences. They work the same way and seem to be of the same quality. Assuming a similar price point, go with whichever look you prefer, though I doubt it makes much difference in the end. You'll get your bat point of view across either way.

BACKGROUND: needed a new sharp pair of kitchen scissors. I wasn't sure about the bat/cat embellishment, but thought I'd give it a try.PROS: Super sharp. Ergonomic. Honestly, I can't get over how they make me smile when I pull them out of the draw. The silly "bat/cat" feature is just enough unexpected style on a utilitarian object, and it makes me smile every time. Great price for a quality product.CONS: none.

I have large hands, and these kitchen scissors are so comfortable to use. They don't make me feel as if my fingertips are doing all the work. I have cut herbs, vegetables, and meat easily, and without losing grip. They have a bottle opener between the handles. The scissors open wide enough for it to be very efficient. Great gadget!
