I brought these for the liquid compound meds for my pets. The pharmacy puts the flat stoppers in the bottle and the more you insert the syringe, it starts they start to leak and medicine is lost. These caps prevent that, can also shake well without loss of medicine. When bottle is empty, I wash with soap and water to use with next refill. Make sure if ther is a flat stopper in the bottle, it must be removed. This is the replacement

I like this cap because it works to use our medicine syringe without exposing the contents to air. But, I have to use a spoon to pry the little part of the cap off. I think someone out there could design a better cap, with a pull on the top or something to help open the tiny cap.
