Works well, allows flexible positioning, captures pellets well.I hang this on a cup hook on a small garden stake in the yard and it works well. The reassuring "ding!" of the pellet hitting the metal lets you know you at least hit the target. If you are young with 20/15 eyesight perhaps you can skip using binoculars, but generally I use a pair of binoculars to see the exact position of each shot as my target is set at 100ft/33m. (Tip: you can get a tripod adapter that fits most binoculars and set it up focused on the target. This was you can just lean over after each shot and quickly check your results, rather than having to put the rifle down, pick up the binoculars, check your result, put the binoculars down, pick up the rifle...The paper targets that come with it are only good if you're shooting at point-blank range. You'll never see your results at any distance. Save the cardboard boxes you get from your Amazon orders, use the supplied paper targets as a template, and cut the boxes into squares to fit into the slots of this target box.I use the "Splatterburst target" (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XVDDH9T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which is for firearm target practice and is 12"x18" and contains 15 graduated bullseye targets.Cut out ONE bullseye target (approximately 3 1/2â€x 3 1/2â€), and slip that into between the lower and side slot of the target. (Using the thicker cardboard from the Amazon boxes will make the target fit snugly.) While they are smaller than that cardboard backing and opening, so what? The whole point of target practice is to hit the bullseye, isn't it? If you need a 5"x5" size "bullseye" then you're a pretty bad shot.) In this way, using binoculars you can clearly see your hits from a far distance, easily zero your sights, and get a lot of splatter targets for your buck.My one criticism of this target box is that the slot lips are not as strong as they should be. If you hit the slot lip with a pellet, it will dent the lip, and eventually you'll have to bend it out a little to slip in a new piece of cardboard and splatter target. Eventually, I expect that will cause it to break, but probably not for a while. Then again, if you practice and get really good, you won't be hitting the slot lips on the sides much, right? One final note, somewhere either in the product description or in one of the reviews, it said you can practice in your house or apartment. Well, if it's your house, you can do what you want, but if you're in an apartment, don't even think about it! First and foremost, a pellet could rip through drywall to another apartment. (Envision "huge lawsuit, potential jail time.") Second, the loud indoor-enhanced "bang" from your gun followed by the loud "clang" from each round would have the immediate result of your neighbor complaining to the landlord and, pandemic or not, you'd be looking at finding a new apartment in a hurry.)Use this safely outside and you’ll have a lot of fun!

Bought this pellet trap for use with an Anschutz 8002 10 meter air rifle.Built a mount/background to use this in the garage to obtain the 10 meter distance.Selected this one as it appeared to be welding and not bolted together.Holding up well to use. None of the pellets have been allowed to come back out of the trap.Very pleased w quality.Only takes 5†square targets. Note that NRA 10 meter air rifle targets are now smaller than 5â€. Needed to purchased 8 1/2 x 17 paper to back backing to use the NRA targets.

A bit smaller than I expected. It's about the size of two post cards one atop the other. But at twenty or so feet it's just right for pistol style air guns. The only complaint is that there two holes in the bottom outside corners of the box about 1/2" square and the bb's that do get trapped can and will spill out those holes so figure on taping them over or something more permanent. Also about 10-15% of the bb's ricochet back out onto the ground. All in all its worth the money and will save you a significant amount of ammo. Just buy it.

I bought this target for my grandson to use with his BB Daisy rifle. I didn't expect the BBs to be so powerful. Even with 3 pumps, the BBs were putting serious dents on the metal at 15 yards. I sort of fixed things by stuffing some foam inside the bullet trap. The rim of the target is pretty much toast though. As an NRA instructor for adults, take the occasion with your kids to go over the safety rules of handling guns. These rifles ARE NOT toys. They can inflict serious damage if not careful.

I definitely recommend this. I just needed something in my backyard for airsoft if you’re using airsoft and you wanna reuse your BB I wouldn’t recommend this but either way it is high-quality metal and great for BB guns.

It works but the metal might be a little thin for high powered pellet guns. more of a target for toys

I’ve been using in my living room. It holds into pellets and BB’s. 6mm ceramic BB’s shatter. Still fun.
