I like to bake a lot of bread for family and friends. I bought these gloves because the oven mitts I had previously did not provide the manual dexterity I needed to lift heavy baking stones out of my oven. I knew these gloves were designed for barbeque situations and probably could take a lot of heat. I was right! Though just a little large on my hands, these gloves work great!WHAT I LIKE:-- VERY thick fabric. NO heat gets through at all, even at 500 degrees F.-- Non-slip silicone dots so I can grip heavy pans securely.-- Gloves go a good way up my arm, so no third degree burns on my wrists!-- As I said, really nice dexterity with the individual fingers. I can more securely grab thinner pans, casserole dishes, etc. with the gloves.NOTHING I don't like about these. Well, maybe the company could make gloves like this a wee bit smaller for smaller hands, not just pitmasters' hands. But that's OK, I like them anyway. Five stars.

I'm in a wheelchair and I kept burning my wrists when I was cooking with the cast iron skillet but with these on I it was the perfect length to stop the burning

They're big, so they'll fit many size hands, but the cuffs are stretchy and hold them on average sized wrists well. They block the heat well and aren't hard to clean.

Hard to get on if your hands are wet. You will still feel the heat if you hold on to something too long but protects the top of your hands and wrists when reaching into the oven. I'd buy them again if mine got ruined.

These gloves are probably great for a person with large hands. They are too big and thick for me to be able to handle anything safely.

As a guy who works with his hands everyday for his living, I was leery to touch anything hot with these gloves. But they definitely work well and allow you to grab cookie sheets etc with complete safety!

Fit nicely in my camp gear box. Allows me to grasp the heated cast iron handle of my pan securely vs using folded dishrags or sponges

I'm an adult male and my hands are not particularly large, but these gloves fit well and still allows for finger dexterity. I have no intention of testing these at 1472 F- but they work very well so far at 350F.
