This really works well for my bearded dragon. I did get the larger size. I have it underneath/close to the basking area the slate hose the warmth very well. My dragon seems to really like it also very appealing to the eye.

I bought the smaller one & It’s exactly what I needed. It keeps the heat in for my bearded dragon. price is great & Looks Great I have no complaints . I’ll be buying the bigger one soon

slate doesn't hold warm and the pieces of wood that come with it are so light that every time the dragon tries to climb onto it the whole thing flips over and I have a three month old dragon so it's not heavy

The edges are not smoothed seem sharp the wood logs both split other then that my dragon seems to love it

The shale piece is thin which for basking is fine while for holding heat no. I was expecting something about twice as thick. It holds heat maybe for a few minutes when the lamp goes off. It’s used and like by the bearded dragon. The problem I have is the wooden supports are not cut equal size. So it wobbles. I had to remove one so it’s on 3 pieces because of it to make it solid. If I didn’t toss the box I would return it and buy shale for an aquarium and build a platform with that.

I bought this basking platform for my leopard gecko. It's the perfect size for her tank. She seems to like it also!

Just opened it and it was broken. Plus it took a long time to get to me. Very disappointed
