Whittle Away with BeaverCraft
BeaverCraft has thought of something creative to add to our sets of carving wood. It is important for any creative person to get inspired by new things from time to time so we decided - why not? There are a lot of interesting things to carve out of wood cubes so we added them to our whittling kit.
HUGE CARVING WOOD BLOCKS SET. Our basswood for carving is a great material regardless of your skill level. You'll be able to practice and improve if you are a beginner or develop some new approaches and master your skills if you already know what you are doing. Wood is a very important part of carving, without a doubt, and we know that you won’t be let down.
CREATIVE SIZES. You might be used to working with usual whittling kits but this one is a little bit more of a trick. Wooden cubes require more intricate work and focus. You can use them for fun projects (small animals like cats, dogs and birds) or artistic ones (cube in a cube, a ball in a box and so on). Are you ready to challenge yourself?
- 12 blocks: 2,5 cm х 2,5 cm х 10 (1” x 1” x 4”)
- 6 blocks: 5 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm (2″ x 2″)
SOFT AND SMOOTH CARVING WOOD. Basswood is known to be one of the best and easiest bases for carving. You will be able to work with it freely even if you feel your wood carving knife in your hand for the first time. It is the best wood to learn on or practice.

I was actually given two of this company's woodcarving sets before, which is how I fell in love with the hobby. The wood is very sturdy and easy to carve into any shapes you want. I'd love to purchase more carving tools as well. Very nice wood. Clear and good grain. Various sizes to make whatever strikes my fancy. I had to laugh at the small size of the package because I expected a bigger box. But I just skimmed over the measurements so it’s on me. But I bought this to mainly practice making faces so it will do.

I wanted to get into woodcarving over the summer, but it seemed like a pretty difficult hobby to just pick up out of the blue. Several YouTubers recommended BeaverCraft for beginner tools and wood, so I decided to bite. This basswood has proven to be exactly what I needed for starting out with carving! The wood is incredibly soft (for a wood--it's not like clay), so it makes whittling and carving a breeze. The size and quantity of the blocks are also amazing, coming with about 12 long pieces and 6 cube pieces for various projects. A lot of videos you can find online utilize the longer blocks, so I appreciated the large amount they sent me. If you're looking for high quality wood, I can definitely add my endorsement to BeaverCraft. Check out their other products, too! They're (generally) affordable and great quality.

Great product for the price, my son loves widdling and is having fun using this to chisel designs into the sides.

I'm a beginner carver. I bought these to practice with. Larger pieces would have been easier. The blocks vary in size, making it a little more difficult to glue together, but no big deal. The quality of the wood seems fine. I would recommend them as long as you're good with the size. I'd prefer 1 3/4" - 2" X 4".

Me ha gustado la madera de tilo, no la conocÃa y es muy fácil y blanda, sin nudos, etc. La única pega es que he comprado unos trozos un poco pequeños, para otra vez los compraré más grandes
