Fit my 96 Toyota Tacoma perfectly. Removed old part, installed new part and had truck up and running in about 30 minutes. Only bad thing is now I have two truck keys instead of one (1 for ignition, 1 for doors). Great bang for the buck 5 STARS!

Worked perfect for my 1997 Toyota Tacoma. Just remember to keep the original key for cab door and fuel door access. Great fix for an old worn out ignition. Watch YouTube videos for easy install.

Works well. No problems with fitment. One note is that it uses a different size/type key than OEM so if you are trying to re-key this lock so that you can have one key for both doors and ignition, you are going to find that you are out of luck. So i'm stuck with old school 2 key vehicle. No big deal. Otherwise, good purchase.

The part fit fine and works great, however, it’s not the same key core as stock, so I was hoping to rekey the doors to match, but can’t because the cores are different. I wish you could buy a set so all the locks would match, but that was not an option.

It served its purpose well. It slid right in and I was able to start my truck immediately. It looked identical to the one I replaced so I could've replaced an already-replaced ignition lock cylinder. Works perfect. Can't hardly tell it was a used part. Brand new keys work great. Only took 10 mins to install. Only thing is now my door and ignition keys don't match.

Fit my 97 limited perfectly. It is a direct replacement for the OEM ignition cylinder. I had no problems with the key light fitting so maybe that is in issue with the 01-02 4Runners in a previous review.Honestly all 3rd gen 4runners should buy this if they are on the OEM cylinder. I had to get my vehicle towed once my OEM failed. It showed no signs before it died on my so GET ONE OF THESE FOR INSURANCE!!

I installed this on my daughters 98 4runner last September. If your tumblers start giving you trouble change them right away since you need to turn them to the acc position for them to slide out. If you can not get the lock cylinder to turn one last time you are probable looking at 2 to 3 hours of drilling to remove the old cylinder. We have not had any problems with the ignition cylinder since I installed it.
