The one time I forgot to read the reviews before my purchase!!! Do not buy this, clearly the company does not care that EVERYONE is receiving a broken water spitter. Also it's very small and light weight, I am afraid it would have blown over and broken on its own anyway.

The first one I got was broken in 3 places--the head, the beak and the base were all broken. The box is not big enough for this product and was poorly cushioned with air bags. The second one was not broken but was shipped in the same size box with inadequate packing material. It is a miracle it, too, was not broken. However, I do like the spitter and even though it is small, it is the ideal size for a small pond. The finish looks like it is made of antique brass or bronze even though it is made of a very light weight resin material. I would not leave it outside during the winter months, though, for fear of losing or damaging the finish.

This item is described as bronze in color and "material". It is not made of bronze.It is nice but its resin or plastic or something light weight and surely less durable.
