I bought it to replace a “Loner†brand iron that finally died after 50 years.This iron seems to be an upgrade at a fraction of the price.It has an off/on button and temp up/down buttons. It also has a temperature read out.It heats up fast and regulates the temperature well. It came with several replacement tips of different configurations.The zippered case is a nice touch. Just be sure to let it cool down before putting it in the case.

First thing, the price is decent for what you get! A simple case, a very good iron (with swappable bits! heats very well and FAST (CAUTION)), a good amount of flux, a stand, and a solder sucker. The solder does have LEAD (37%) , wear a mask and have a window open! :0My only real gripe, is I wished they'd have soldering wick instead of a solder sucker (The sucker could be useful for larger projects, but for smaller electronics, it's not practical). I REALLY wanted a better stand , the one included is too small (and a very tiny sponge which won't help much for removing excess solder or flux).So if you do get this set, you're getting a decent iron and all the essentials .. while not perfect by any means, as a beginner electronics hobbyist, I used it to fix my pokemon ruby game, and it all went well! I recommend it, just find a larger stand and maybe buy some soldering wick if you need it for small jobs! :0ENJOYY >:3

I bought this because I needed a small soldering iron for small repairs and crafting and I wanted a wood burner also for crafts. Haven’t tried the wood burner yet so can’t speak to how it works. I guess the soldering iron is okay although I was unable to get it to solder a metal butterfly back on a metal perfume bottle, my main reason for the purchase.

So far it works great. You can set the temperature you want and it gets there very quickly. If you aren't going to use it for a few minutes you can press the on/off button to off to save the tip. When ready to solder some more you can simply push the button again and it turns on and gets to the temp quickly. I solder at high temps so it's hard on the tips.

I’ve never had a combination soldering iron & wood burning tool all-in-one before, but I sure love this one now! Never having had a set like this before, there were some accessories included that I had used before and was unable to identify them to determine their purpose… the seller was just as sweet & patient as he could possibly be in walking me through the components and how to utilize them. He also sent me some tutorial videos that introduced me to new techniques. The unit works like a charm, heats quickly, maintains the desired temperature, and produces clear, clean, and crisp results. I really like being able to control the exact temperature AND it came with everything I could possibly need for both soldering and wood burning!

Recommend this to any first time user. Quality is good. The gun heats up quickly and is easy to use. Can't wait to try out all the additional accessories..

Not disappointed at all. I was worried about buying this because it was so cheap. This thing works better than my Weller set up.
