- My old cable had a loose connection, so whenever I plugged anything else into the mini computer like thumb drives or accessory cables, the monitor would blank out for a few seconds.- This cable plugged in easily and is solid in its construction. I was worried it was the port, but it was the cable (my local repair lady verified that for me by plugging in one of her cables to test it, but didn't have a spare one to sell me).- Nobody near me, including Best Buy, had this cable in stock. Thanks, Amazon vendor!- Good cable, excellent price, fast fulfillment. Happy now.

I bought a Windows 11 Dell computer. It's so "modern" that it doesn't have a VGA port. I called Dell support, and they recommended this type of adapter. Works well.

Got this to use and old VGA monitor as a toss-away monitor in a new system. The other three displays are dport, but I figured a small vga monitor on the 4th port would be fine, right? Plugging in the monitor caused a driver crash, and on reboot the system refused to post. Remove the cable, system posts and boots fine.I think it may be that the NVS510 wants to negotiate an audio link in the dport, but this cable doesn't support that (even as a throw away). Since it can't negotiate the link, it fails to even post, and the driver trying to do it live faults. Maybe with a new driver it would work, but for now the cable is useless to me, and I'm still stuck with a spare VGA monitor and a spare dport on my machine, and nothing to get them to work together.Update (to 4 star from 3): Had another instance using a different system with Dport out that I wanted to connect to a VGA monitor (on-board Intel video). The cable worked fine. I will note that there was NOT an audio stream associated, so any driver/card that wants to setup audio for it's Dports (looking at you NVidia) may not work with this cable. I'm not sure which to blame more, but knowing that may help someone from buying this if they have such a card.

The cable was of high quality! VGA end fit my monitor perfectly. Video port was perfect fit as well. The gold plated ends seem to help with signal and picture quality! I’m using HD quality not Ultra and am very satisfied! I recommend! Good price as well!

I got really lucky and found two huge Dell monitors at a yard sale for $15, no cables, and the guy couldn't promise they'd work, but I took the risk, and the one worked great, plugged right in and came on, but the other, it's main port was broken, so I took it to get tested, and they said that this port stilled worked, but I already have that corresponding port filled by my drawing tablet, so I set out to find an adapter.It was easy to plug in on both sides, the port that plugs into the computer even has security buttons that need to be pressed in order to remove it. It's as durable and as long as any of my other monitor cables, and the size of the port ends fit into my set up well.I have external speakers, or use headphones so I'm unsure of any effect on sound quality with this product.I used this with my second monitor, and it looks just as clear and accurate as my main monitor.

Ho acquistato questo adattatore da DisplayPort a VGA per collegare il mio vecchio monitor VGA al mio nuovo PC dotato di DisplayPort, e devo dire che sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto! La qualità del segnale è eccellente, con una nitidezza e una chiarezza incredibili. Non ho riscontrato alcun ritardo o distorsione dell'immagine, il che è fantastico per il lavoro e per il gaming leggero.L'installazione è stata semplicissima: plug and play. Ho collegato l'adattatore al mio PC e al monitor, ed è stato subito riconosciuto senza bisogno di installare driver aggiuntivi. Il design è compatto e robusto, il che mi dà fiducia nella sua durata nel tempo.Un altro punto a favore è la compatibilità : l'ho provato con vari monitor VGA di diverse marche e non ho mai avuto problemi di connessione. El cable es bueno y robusto, funciona increÃblemente bien, para mi sorpresa, ofreca mucho mejor resolución de la que cabrÃa esperar por su precio y en una pantalla VGA... y el repartidor UN GENIO. No estábamos en casa, y dejó la foto de la ubicación de la entrega, dejándonoslo en una zona segura, y que solo nosotros pudimos ver. ¡Una birra para esa gran persona! ¡Gracias máquina!

Das Kabel tut was es soll, hat aber ein paar Eigenheiten, welche man vor dem Einsatz beachten sollte.Leider gibt es keine Anleitung dazu, in der Packung ist nur das Kabel selbst.Es ist auch kein Adapter, sondern es wird direkt in das Anzeigegerät gesteckt. Wichtige Info falls es ein in der Decke verbauter Beamer sein sollte.Das angeschlossene Gerät muss mehrfach an/aus geschaltet werden damit der PC ein neues Display erkennt. Bei mir unter zwei Windows 10 Rechnern (PC und Laptop) reproduzierbar zweimal. Unter Windows im angeschlossenen Zustand danach zu suchen ist zwecklos. Erkannt wird das Gerät auch nur wenn das angeschlossene Anzeigegerät eingeschaltet ist. Das Kabel arbeitet danach aber stabil ohne Aussetzer.Einen Lag habe ich nicht feststellen können, wenn ist er sehr gering. Ich glaube CoD-Ligaspieler sind auch nicht Zielgruppe dieses Kabels...Treiber gibt es nicht, Windows nutzt die "nicht-PNP Monitor" Standardtreiber. Diese lassen sind auch nicht ändern!Hauptsächlich wird das Gerät genutzt werden um Röhrenmonitore oder Beamer an einen modernen PC/Laptop ohne VGA Schnitstelle anzuschliessen.Leider funktioniert die EDID Erkennung nicht 100%, also gibt einem Windows nicht alle möglichen Auflösungen zu Auswahl. nvidia und AMD bieten hier in ihren Treibern Möglichkeiten eigene Auflösungen (custom resolutions) einzutragen.So fehlte bei meinem CRT z.b. die Auflösung 1280*960 (4:3) Auflösung, diese musste nachgetragen werden. Man sollte also das Handbuch seines Beamers/Monitors bereithalten um diese Nachtragen zu können. (Auslösung X * Auflösung Y bei Z hertz).Es ist also ein wenig Recherche und Handarbeit von Nöten.
