Best mando I've ever owned! It cuts the hardiest root veg like butta, and is so easy to clean. The blade is strong and sharp. The additional blades attachments are easy to install. Yes, it's narrow, but that really helps from the surface 'bending' under the weight of pushing with your hand. I simply cut the veg to fit, and I'm off to the races! Really, this mando should be in everyone's kitchen!

Amazing quality!! So smooth I couldn’t tell it had already sliced it. I can’t believe I have cooked for 30 years without this, A must have. Don’t buy the cheapie fancy ones,, with a million attachments,, this is all you need. Watch your fingers!!

Works well, easy to operate, and easy to clean! The only drawback is the julienne blades require a fair amount of force but if your careful and use the guard, it’s safe.

What can I say, this is THE mandoline. No fancy attachments, no fancy gimmicks to get you to buy it, it’s just a straight up mandoline.I bought this for my sister after accidentally purchasing her the musical instrument of the same name when I misunderstood what she was asking me for. I’m the music teacher, he’s the chef. It was bound to happen.When, looking for a mandoline to purchase for her, I had never seen one other than this brand, because I live my life around professional kitchens. All the other mandolines look like the Playskool version of this original device. Don’t compromise, get this one.No, this thing isn’t safe! What are you talking about! These things are for chefs, and they still cut themselves on them. There are guards you can buy for these if you aren’t a true chef who spills blood for the romanticized lifestyle the chef coat brings.Cleaning is a breeze, Storage is no problem, this thing is flat. Use it your own risk, and for the glory of the pro kitchen. 🫡

I like to make sliced cucumber salad and wanted something a little more manageable than my heavy food processor. I had heard and read that the Benriner brand was the way to go, because it is preferred by professionals. The first time I used it I had to look underneath to make sure the cucumbers were coming out sliced - it was that slick and quiet! Almost no effort is required to produce perfect slices over and over again. This mandolin is easy to adjust and comes with 4 different attachments, which are easy to change. I haven't used any of them other than the straight slicer, but it is everything I need for now. I highly recommend this product.

It was sent back. The board of the mandolin was less than 3 inches wide. If your intended use is a very narrow piece of veg, or fish, or fruit, I guess this might work. I wanted something that I could cut larger items including cabbage, carrots (lengthwise), and potatoes, not just small veggies like cucumbers, or radishes. In my kitchen items have to do multiple functions including grating, etc. So while this is a SHARP mandolin and probably really good, with the cost of slaw now hitting $3/bag, I wanted to get more surface area for food prep.

I have used this multiple times. It's very sharp. I also bought gloves to use with it for my peace of mind. It's very easy to get down to the end of the vegetable quickly and not notice. Using the guard helps but sometimes it's not really practical. Having cut resistance metal mesh gloves helps.Makes quick work of cabbage carrots etc. Shreds into thin slices beautifully. It's easy and quick to make salads and other dishes. I imagine it will be even more use over the summer with radishes, onions, fennel, etc.

Love using this for salads. This brand is very established and trustworthy, and the unit is very easy to use. Just be careful and be sure to use the guard, although it makes slicing the last inch or so of the veggie nearly impossible.

Corta bien si solo quieres lajas y de ciertas frutas o verduras, los aditamentos que trae para tiras y juliana solo funcionan bien con ciertas cosas, la compré especialmente para hacer tiras de zanahoria y batallo bastante al cortarla de manera perpendicular, tuve que comprar otra cosa de otra marca para lograrlo. Es super peligrosa por cierto, compren guantes anti-corte, solo asà me atrevo a usarla.
