My Berkey was knocked down. The glass view spigot broke and The opening where it came out of was bent. Needless to say, I was very upset. I had to hammer out the metal around the spigot opening. Purchasing this inexpensive replacement provided a great solution. It worked perfectly and saved me a lot of grief. It will work just fine until I can locate an authentic Berkey glass view spigot to replace the old one.

I bought a second hand Berkey from a friend & wanted to start fresh with new innards. The spout works well & I've had no drips or leaks for the 2+ months I've had it.

I am not sure about the water filter. I have to do much more research. The water was tested by another company and the results werealarming. I have to look into this carefully as the water filter itself and replacements are very expensive, and they claim to be among of the best in the market.Educate. yourself.

This product works well if you have a Berky filter nut that is stripped, and you need to replace the nut after you have primed the filters. My only complaint is that it is about eight dollars too high for what you get. For that reason, only four stars.

One of the washers that held my filters in placed was stripped. It was nice to find a simple kit so that I could replace it.
