You're not a master baiter unless you're using better bait in your well. Seriously. This extends the life of my shiners by ten fold. I would typically lose a dozen or so shiners hours after purchasing them from the bait shop before I used better bait. Now I only lose one or two after the entire day. There are other factors to consider, but this is a permanent part of my bait keeping regimen. Especially when running a live bait guided charter, this is a small investment to keep the bait my customers have paid for top notch and super lively. They better not stop making better bait, because I will be requiring it for the next 40 years.

I bought this because the stuff I was using turned the minnows brown and left a slime on them. This stuff keeps them the blueish silver color and they stay alive and active

Great product despite that it’s just “bootleg†methylene blue in granular form. The label doesn’t list any ingredients whatsoever, most likely because the manufacturer is using religious loopholes to circumvent labeling regulations. Very interesting.
