.Nice quality finish on the wood. The horse hair bristles are stiff, yet soft for polishing. Well made.Overall good quality and a good value as a pair.

I really like these handy dandy silver polishing brushes. They are firm enough to attack tarnish, but soft enough to not leave scratches. The bristles can get into cracks and crevices and/or intricate areas on silverware that a soft cloth cannot reach. They are great in assisting the polishing of all kinds of silver from tea services to jewelry. After using silver polish, some residue may remain, but these brushes will find it and brush it away with the help of a bit of elbow grease. The brushes are well made with no bristles falling out and no splinters to attack ones’ fingers while in use. The wooden handles are super smooth and even attractive. The ends have drilled holes with a synthetic fiber knotted loop to make hanging them easy. The brushes are designed as a silver polishing tool; however, they do have other uses. For instance, before laundering, use them to gently rub away spots on clothing or other fabric. A stain remover made for clothing should be used first.I believe that BFWood was launched in the USA, but sells worldwide.

This pair of BFWOOD HORSEHAIR SILVER BRUSHES is a great find for me. We own a fair number of silver serving pieces that have intricate designs. I use a fine sponge or rag to apply silver polish, but that doesn’t always get into the fine crevices and doesn’t always remove all the polish. These two horsehair brushes are perfect. They are soft enough, so they don’t leave any scratches. And they get into all the crevices. I have silver jewelry I clean with these, as well. When rinsing off the silver polish I use a clean horsehair brush to make sure all of the polish is rinsed away. . I feel comfortable using these on my fine silver. I’ve always been leery of plastic bristle brushes or a toothbrush because they could scratch fine silver. There is a sticker on the plastic bag the held the brushes. It said the brushes can be used to remove stubborn stains from fabric when soaking the fabric. This could be very helpful when I’m washing my linen and lace tablecloths. It does say not to use on silk or wool fabrics. The price for two horsehair brushes is excellent. This is something I’ve seen at my grandmother’s house years ago, but I’ve never found in a store. I thought horsehair brushes were no longer made. I’m delighted to find these brushes on Amazon.

This is exactly what I was looking for to spot clean clothes. I was specifically looking for a natural bristle brush as I found a lot of the synthetic bristles were too hard and was causing damage to clothes when I was spot treating . So far it looks and feels exactly what I was looking for. The handles are solid and nicely finished so they feel nice in the hand. The bristles are resilient but soft. This is probably soft enough to even use to brush a wool coat.A funny thing I noticed is that the listing states it is horse hair, but the packaging says it is white boar bristles. I don't know which it is but I did do a burn test and it is a natural material that singes and turns to ash rather than a synthetic material that just melts turns into a glob.

This review is for the BFWood Horsehair Silver Brush - 2PCS Detailing Brush Set for Silverware - Jewelry Cleaning Brushes for Sterling, Cutlery, Metal - Perfect Match for Silver PolishBased on the package label, these are laundry brushes - not detailing brushes for silver as described in the product description. That said, I got these with the intention of using them to clean/polish silver jewelry and was pleased with how well I was able to remove tarnish from a pair of my favorite silver earrings. How I cleaned these earrings:1. I lined a small bowl with aluminum foil2. After placing the earrings in the bowl, I covered them with hot water then sprinkled a small amount of baking soda3. I let them soak for a few minutes, then removed from the hot water and used the small brush to cleanI have never used a laundry brush, but I think these could work for pre-treating stains on some types of fabric.

I like these for the laundry room and the silver. I put one in each area. The hair is about what you'd expect with medium bristle. The hanging ropes are great to keep them off the shelf or out of a drawer. They are great for silver because they won't scratch it, and they're also gentle on your clothing, although you don't want to use them on silk or wool. I like them for my sterling jewelry as well, they get into the cracks and crevices of the jewelry. Very well made, the hair is not falling out of the brush, and nice rope to hang them up. I can't find any fault with them, they work and that's all I ask! Recommend for laundry and silver cleaning.

Years ago, when I first began looking for a horsehair brush, the only place I could find one was as part of a shoeshine kit. I have used it to clean the elaborate relief details of silverplate flatware for years. The bristles have held up pretty well, but the lightweight wooden handle is beginning to splinter. These brushes from BFWood are superior to that brush in every respect, even when it was new. The bristles are longer for deeper cleaning, the patterns are larger for greater coverage and the handles are thicker and contoured for a comfortable grip. There is even a threaded handle strap for hanging the brush to dry after use. The user is advised to avoid getting the beech wood brush handle wet. The bristles are surprisingly smooth for a natural hair brush, but comparing them to my original brush, each seems equally effective in scouring the intricate crevices of silverplate flatware patterns without marring the plating.
