Fitment was a bit “tight†to get it to set, but I ended up just bolting it with both bolts until it seated correctly. Could definitely feel the difference before vs after. Worked well for a cheap Amazon part.

Looking for a proper solution to continually burnt and shorted cap and rotors, leaving your GM Vortec engine 5.7l v8 350 etc with a crank no start.Brass connectors over aluminum for longer life of the connectors (burning/melting from spark) inside distributor cap.Properly designed rotor with bent electrical connection for closer gap (low voltage spark) to brass terminal on cap. Solving the shorted coil to cylinder #3, burning and jumping spark through cap due to higher voltage from coil.Looking on Amazon this is the only combo that sells both cap and rotor together and the price is really nice aswell.

This looks like a quality cap. Fit great on my Mercuiser 5.0 mpi. Now if I'd only not broken the hold down screw when removing my old one, I'd be in good shape

The good:Brass Terminals on cap.Cap and rotor fit and function perfectly.The not so good:Compare threads on the Distributor Cap. They are a little different than the stock screws.I used the old screws.The old truck runs like new now!

Easy to install, perfect fit on my 99 Tahoe 5.7 vortec, spark is bright white like it should be! If you have intermittent starting issues and misfires, check the leads on your distributor cap and rotor! My old ones were toasted.

Ok so I don't write many reviews but this cap and rotor deserved it. Unfortunately the ignition cap on a 5.7 vortec engine sucks weather it's an auto or marine application. So if anyone has owned a boat or a truck with this crappy cap design you have replaced a few. Most caps that I've purchased in the past have been real garbage. But this one fit like a glove and seems to work great. I don't expect it to last too long considering the design is the problem not necessarily the part. But this is the best bang for your buck for a cheap replacement and the contacts are actually brass who knows the grade of brass but who cares the aluminum contacts aren't even worth installing. Good luck with your project motor on my friends.

Time will tell how long it lasts. The screws are shorter then what came off and only grab with a couple threads and are barely usable. But it was handy it came with them because one cap screw fell out. Truck started right up and ran decently after replacement.
