This thing is deadly at keeping birds out of a raspberry patch. In fact, it was so good that it kept many birds away from my bird feeders by the house(50 yards away). If you want birds to stay away, this works great. Heavy wind causes it to fly wildly and a couple of times actually broke loose. Easily reattached and used again.

We've lost several chickens to hawks so we purchased the crow kite in hopes that it would deter them. Haven't lost one since we put it up. We've also had some strong winds and it's held up nicely. I'm actually going to order another.

Only flies in moderately strong winds, and within an hour or less, the pole un-twists enough to drop back into the sleeve. Material has faded quickly and is not holding up to sun damage. Lasted less then a month. Seagulls and ravens don't seem deterred.

I live in the Southwest desert near El Paso, TX. Our April - May winds are heavy. The kite did very well with scaring off the grackle and dove in our yard. After a few days of heavy (30+ MPH) winds. The kite seams at the wing tips gave way. The kite no longer can fly. Bottom-line? I still give the kite 4-stars because it works very well in diminishing the bird population. I have a second kite that I will fly on days where max winds will be no more than 20 MPH. Should be ok then.

My son used it on his farm to keep things away from chickens and pigs. I bought 2, one for lake to keep Hawks and eagles away plus city to keep hawks and coyotes away

The idea works i was happy i didnt see birds for the days the kite was up and ok.. but then the kite started to fall apart... cant get a refund because some parts flew away... Great idea/concept if the kite was more durable... if it didnt rip so fast and the wires would have stayed in placePole is great if tighted correctly

I bought this product to help the hawks away due to a large population of rabbits in our neighborhood . I have two small Chihuahuas. It worries me every time I take them outside. Since putting up three weeks ago, we rarely see the hawks now.

I live on a farm with 20 acres of land. We have 50+ chickens, recently we noticed some hawks, eagles, crows etc. Before loosing any chickens we decided to add a few decoys to scare them away. I haven’t had this product for a week yet. It has been up for only 6 days and I’ve had to surgically repair it 3 times in 3 days. Yes understandable that weather will damage the kite with time but not destroy it in 6 days time. All threading on the kite has come undone, the wings are ripping off and the pole will not stop collapsing back inside. Finally we’ve done some changes to the pole to keep it from collapsing but now the kite blew apart this evening the rods were coming out of 3 areas. Garbage product. Very poorly, cheaply made. I think I’d have better luck with a cardboard decoy at this point. Less than one star

The bird itself did not las more than a few weeks but up until that point if worked very well. The pole is very good quality so I plan to buy a small kite to replace the bird
