I purchased these to hang a string of lights on my porch. Good basic screw hook, and a reasonable price for what you get. Predrilled holes made install so much easier and insured the wood didn't split, but between the narrow shank and the sharp tip, probably wasn't necessarily. The lights had very little weight so sturdiness isn't a factor, but they feel of good quality and threading is consistent.

We put these up to hang sun catchers from our kitchen windows. We have moving prisms everywhere in the morning. The hooks are small, a shiny silver and can hold a good amount of weight. Pre-drill hole.

Thought it was a 1inch hook. DEFINITELY NOT. The length of the thing is 1 inch. The hook is probably a quarter inch. I was gonna use these hooks for Christmas lights… There’s no way that the Christmas light chords would fit in these hooks
