Really surprised at how great this little kettle is and wonder why I didn’t purchase one sooner. This is my first electric kettle and I am very happy with it! It boils water extremely fast and is attractive sitting on our kitchen counter. Don’t be surprised by the lightweight, “cheap†plastic feel. It holds up well, does an excellent job and looks great. For the price I don’t think it can be beat. I use it daily for everything from cups of tea in the morning to making instant ramen for dinner’s. I would highly recommend.

This kettle works great! It heats water up in roughly two minutes and it gets super hot so really you could cut it off before then even. It’s got a different design to it which is fun instead of just you standard kettle sitting in the counter. Very happy with it

Full pot boils in about 6 minutes. I bought it for 15.00/used like new because the last 3 kettles I had died within a year or less. They were off-brands. I know from experience that Black and Decker has amazing customer service, so I'm not worried about any problems. This kettle feels solid. The base could be a little heavier so it would stay in place, but that's also true of all the ones I've had before. The style is a little retro mod, which I like. There's no silicone grippy bit on the lid, so if your fingers are wet, it can be a little tricky to remove. I do like that there is no hinge on the lid. The hinged lids can be more difficult to clean.Notes on care: boil some vinegar in it when you see whitish deposits. Those deposits are the minerals from yout tap water. They will flake off and make your hot beverage look yucky if you don't run some vinegar regularly. If you use bottled or distilled water, you won't get the deposits. Also, wipe it down with vinegar to get the white water spots off the outside. Good kettle, good price, good company.

This kettle completely met my expectations! It looks very stylish and fits perfectly in my kitchen. The 1.7L capacity is sufficient for the whole family, and the cordless design makes it convenient to use. It heats water quickly, and the illumination adds a modern touch. It’s also easy to clean and descale. A great choice for those looking for a combination of functionality and design. Highly recommend!

No complaints can be made on my end. I bought the used version on a gamble of what I would receive and lucked out. Item was in original packaging, sealed in plastic, with zip tie in the power cord.Just incase you don’t read the item description, the outer shell is plastic, not ceramic. The inside however is stainless steel and the overall product has a nice appeal. Water boils quickly and automatically shuts off upon reaching a certain temperature.Great product for the $16 used price point. However, I am uncertain on the longevity of the product with its plastic outer shell.

Black and Decker is a brand that usually never fails.In this kettles case, I honestly feel like it does its simple job. Heat the water quickly (3 minutes tops) and that's that! It does shut off automatically but unfortunately, you don't know whether it's heating until a few seconds in. When it's done boiling, there's just a loud click that announces when it's done. No lights or nothing. If you leave the kettle unattended, the water will start getting cold.A person as forgetful as I am, I honestly find this at a disadvantage.

I will be honest and say that this was not at all the kettle I was looking for. I wanted to get a kettle that was transparent and had temperature control. However in my search and testing many different kinds of these kettles I wound up returning every single one. Apparently there are two common issues plaguing those kind of kettle designs. All in all I tested out 5 other kettles before picking this one so let my experience save you some time. I won't mention the brands but they are well known. All 5 of these kettles shared the same issues. The first big issue is that apparently it's a design flaw that transparent kettles can and do leak from where the handle attaches right above the heating base. All 5 of my glass kettles shared this flaw. Of the ones that had the temperature control feature both of them proved to not be at all accurate at determining the temperature. This was hugely disappointing and eye opening.Eventually I stopped punishing myself and just decided to look at kettles because it seemed more important to be able to heat up water to proper boiling and not create a wet electrical nightmare. When I got this kettle I wasn't that jazzed about it because it was none of the things I wanted. How wrong I was as this kettle is everything I do want. While I don't have temperature control it's hard to argue that it even matters when it's inaccurate in the first place and although it's not see through I do get a window so I can see the water boiling if I want to.My first impression upon unboxing was that it is actually very nice to look at and sit on your counter. The pictures on the site don't do the outside finish justice. Even though it's plastic you might think it's porcelain at first glance. The kettle unpacks and sets up easy. It also boils really fast. I raced it against another kettle and this one won so it must be fast right?Something that I didn't know but really like about it is that there is a blue light that illuminates the inside of the kettle as it boils. I know but it is kind of pleasing. The other thing I really love about this kettle is an understated feature of the lid button being located on the handle and not the lid itself meaning you don't have to risk burning your hands and arms with steam if you do need to open it while it's still hot. There are also red feet located inside the kettle to make it easier to see the lower levels if you just need to boil a small amount.The only drawback is that cleaning it isn't super easy because the top hole is not very large and the feet inside make it a bit tricky to maneuver around. It's not that bad so I'm not taking any stars off of it. I'm sure you could spend $100 and maybe get a better kettle but I doubt you could spend the amount this one costs and find a better more consistent one.

I absolutely love this kettle. It is beautiful to look at, looks very nice on my counter. Also, it handles particularly well, holding and pouring boiling water out. It seems a silly thing to say, right? a kettle is a kettle, but not this one. This one is great and I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.
