I searched for a new crockpot when I needed to travel with mine that didn't have a locking lid. I looked at many different ones before settling on this one. Features such as locking lid, timer, automatically goes to warming mode, lid holder all made this one the most appealing. Another feature is the temperature probe that plugs in & sticks through the lid to cook food to temperature. Only downside to this item is that the probe isn't very long. My first time trying to use it today & it doesn't go far enough to reach my chicken breasts. I did slice them thinner but was surprises that I couldn't even touch them. I still love this crockpot & am sure I will be able to use the probe another time. I would recommend this crockpot to anyone.

Use this every week to make soups, stews, chilis, pulled pork, and roasts. Does a great job. I couldn’t work full time and serve homemade meals to my family without this. Love the large size. It’s easy to clean because you can pull the ceramic crock out and put it right in the sink. It’s sturdy..can go from the fridge to the heating element and back again with no problem.

I love this crockpot because it is so easy to set the correct level of cooking (warm, low, high) and the time! It will also switch to warm if you are not there when the time is up! I really like the chalkboard finish! I took it to a recent church potluck, and it was fun to identify the contents with colorful chalk as well as listing the main ingredients (which helps those with food allergies!) This crockpot really stood out from all the other stainless steel models! My food cooked perfectly, and, most important, the pot was super easy to clean! One downside, which may not matter to most, is that it does not reach high temperature quickly. So, give it a few extra minutes if you need to add noodles. orzo, pasta, etc., to a recipe at the end of the cook.

I’ve had my slow cooker since maybe November and it’s still working like brand new! Not sure why other people have experienced it differently but it’s easy to use, great food temperature (check hourly at least) and has not broken on me. Just take care of it I guess.

As a busy professional constantly trying to balance work and personal life, I found the Black & Decker 7-Quart Digital Slow Cooker to be a real game-changer. Its digital controls are a breeze to operate, making it effortless to set cooking times and heat settings. This means I can easily prepare nutritious meals despite my packed schedule. What I particularly love is the automatic "Keep Warm" function. It's a lifesaver when I'm held up at work or stuck in traffic, as it ensures my meal stays hot and ready to serve. It's this kind of stress-free meal planning that adds flexibility and convenience to my busy days. The 7-quart capacity is another huge plus for me. It's perfect for my weekend batch cooking sessions, saving me precious time during the week. Whether it's a large roast or a whole chicken with vegetables, this slow cooker handles it all with ease. Plus, it's great for meal prepping - I can cook once and eat multiple times. One thing I did notice is that the exterior can get quite hot during use. So, I've learned to be careful when handling it, especially after long cooking periods. The unique chalkboard surface, while not a necessity, adds a touch of fun and practicality. I use it to jot down recipes, cooking times, or even reminders for the week.In terms of value for money, I think this Black & Decker Slow Cooker hits the sweet spot between affordability and functionality. Its convenient features and large capacity make it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to simplify their meal prep process. In summary, as a busy professional, I find this slow cooker an excellent tool that helps me maintain a healthy diet without compromising my schedule.

After my old crockpot broke, I got a new one. It was expensive and "fancy," but low was barely hot, and high was WAY too high. And forget about warm; that was basically the same as off. After a lot of wasted food and melted crockpot liners I broke it by putting cold water into the hot crock, I know I know.We replaced it with his one, and it's perfect! It's easy to use, and the temperatures make sense! My liners don't melt, and my food comes out perfect! I also love that it has a tight seal with the rubber gasket! Seriously, perfect.

Works as it should, will try the sous-vide function soon. When first plugged in, it had a really strong industrial smell. I noticed it right away , chopped up two apples and some cinnamon sticks and plugged it in, outside on the porch. I let it heat and gas off for a few hours and then it was fine. No further odor.Update : Used the sous-vide function twice now since buying it. No regrets. It worked on a seriously tough roast cut into 2" thick steaks. The spice rub I made was a bit salty but texture of the meat when done was great. Cooking meat at 140 degrees Fahrenheit for 24 hours seemed mighty strange but the results were worth the effort. Keep notes. I found suggested cooking times could be likely be reduced. I did not sear the meat first and allowed the sealed packages to cool before opening to redistribute the juices produced while cooking. I'm not running a restaurant so I can't compare it to a commercial unit, but it worked well and the temp control for regular slow cooking use is definitely a plus.

Kids love drawing on it when we have supper cooking. Works amazingly. Best one we have ever had. We like the stay warm feature that automatically turns on once cooking time is complete.

This product is completely useless to anyone who is in the UK - it has an American plug point and as such will not work based on voltage of UK plugs.
