I bought these for my newborn to help create a dark space for daytime naps. The bedroom does let in some light, so I needed something to block it out. These blinds worked perfectly in a pinch—affordable and super easy to put up. I was a bit hesitant about the semi-permanent installation since they attach with Velcro, making them not the easiest to remove, especially when you have to go behind other furniture like blinds or end tables. But so far, I haven’t needed to take them down, so they’re doing exactly what I need them to do! One thing to note is that they’re silver on the outside and black on the inside, so you’ll see a bit of silver from the outside. However, since they face my backyard, it’s not a big deal. Overall, I’d recommend these inexpensive, easy-to-install blackout blinds for anyone looking to block out all light. As for performance, they make the room so dark that if it weren’t for the light coming under the door, I wouldn’t even be able to see my hand in front of my face!

Easy to put under blinds where I didn’t also want drapes! Velcro easy to remove for guests who don’t want it dark!

There is one window.. one window where the light from a thousand suns shines through and it scorches my eye balls in the morning.installation was a tad tricky to get the hang of but after applying the velcro strips on the sides of the window and then cutting the shades to my required measurements, I gotta say, It works fantastic. Especially with window openings that are smaller than something that would fit standard window shades or if you want 100% total blocked light. Yes it's a bit inconvenient having to remove it every time you need it removed and then applying it again instead of having a curtain lever that can easily open and close it but at this price I can't complain.

This arrived folded and as you can see from the photos, the folds remain, which is ok with me since it's in my studio. I'm not sure how you would get these folds out of the material. It seems like it would be best to ship this rolled up.I was able to hang this with magnets since there is a metal window frame. It works great for shutting out the light, but also acts as insulation from drafts from a leaky window.
