I did add shoe buckles and a better tri-corner hat, but the basic suit was quite good for the price. I ordered medium for 5’11†and 178, and it fit just fine. I ironed out the wrinkles from packing/shipping and it looked better than I expected. I have gray hair and have been growing it longer (like the founding fathers did) and that matched very well. I got constant compliments at the party.

Purchased as costume for high school play and was perfect costume for role. Looked great on stage and was able to move and dance choreography comfortably.

The tri-corner hat was really bad. I tried to make it work but there was no way. It might work well as a sunshade for fishing.Coat and wainscoat vest fit pretty well. Vest was a little big but worked nicely.Improvement Recommendation. — Add at least one pocket somewhere for cell phone and CC and Drivers licenseI used these for a Spring Colonial Garden Party. It was a lot of fun.

I’m 176 pounds, 5’8â€. The “large†size fit great! I thought the red jacket may be small till I realized it is not supposed to be buttoned. I was pleasantly surprised it’s put together well. Comes with everything shown. I purchased gold buckles for my shoes separately. I Used for a party and it looked nice and others loved it. Not sure when I’ll use again, but worth keeping. Button holes on shirt could be a bit larger, but if you button carefully they work. For the money, it’s a nice costume.

In my history class I do a bit of a tea party when teaching the American Revolution and decided to have a bit of fun and dress up for it. Kids loved it. I'm a bigger guy and costumes can be hit or miss when it comes to size and fit, but this was great.

I ordered this for my son for a presentation at school. He is over 6ft tall and 140lbs. We usually buy him clothes in XL but this XL is more like a 3X in size...Way too big! The pants literally fell off of him! I am trying to get an exchange with this seller but he or she is wanting to charge me an extra $35 after already spending $65 with shipping. I explained that we are unable to use the XL and would like to return. Still awaiting a respose from the seller. Be advised that you'll get the runaround if you need to exchange the product.

It worked well enough for my son’s in school history project. But it has a very abnormal(defective) cut/shape to the jacket part. The shoulders were made for a huge monster of a person but then it tapers in to a much thinner torso. I would say the shoulders are cut for like a 4X and the torso and stomach part is cut for a large.

If you want to join in celebrating the 250th of the American Revolution I freely recommend this civilian 18th century suit. It is well made, durable, and fairly complete. Other than the fact that there is not one pocket and the "Hat" is a total joke, you should be well satisfied by this costume particularly at the price. It is a very good choice at the cost.
