This case is the perfect size to travel with! It fit perfectly in my purse and made it super easy to take my projects with me on my recent trip. But unfortunately the floss winder, which was one of the reasons I picked up this set, leaves much to be desired; the handle is WAY to small to actually be able to use, and you end up making just as many, if not more, wrist motions as it takes to just wind by hand. So skip the winder and its a great little travel set.

The actual case, section walls, and plastic pieces you wind the thread on all work, but everything is kind of cheap. I'm not certain how long the pivot points on the lid will last as they are kind of thin. We will have to see. The pen broke right away. I was able to put it back together and use it, but the pen is still technically broken. The thread winder is also kind of cheapy so it doesn't spin as smoothly as I would like, but it does spin. Since the case is so light weight it kind of slides around while you are trying to wind your thread with the spinner. Honestly, it's easier to wind the thread by hand. Other than that, I am using the bin to store all my embroidery thread.

Who knew embroidery organizers could moonlight as jewelry supply heroes? It’s not a perfect solution, but it works surprisingly well for chains and small supplies. If I ever pick up embroidery (unlikely), I’ll already be halfway organized.

This set has a compact case, with adjustable compartments is about 5"w x 9"L x 1 5/8"h which, will hold thread bobbins, a permanent marker to mark thread color number on the bobbin and, bobbin winder. The compact case size makes it easy to carry in a project bag and the closure feels secure. The bobbin winder, which fits on the edge of the open case, makes it quick and easy to quickly wind thread onto a bobbin. The small pin that holds the bobbin into the winder is a bit slick to to hold onto, may pop out your fingers and be lost. The pin feels like it has to pushed fairly hard into the pin hole to hold a bobbin for winding and may wallow out the pin hole over time which, would make it impossible to hold or wind a bobbin.

I was really excited about this item. My embroidery box is such a mess. This little kit has everything I need to get organized and make enjoying my hobby so much easier. Great find!
