I love how easy this product is to put together. With the directions , it only takes about 3 minutes from start to finish. Just make sure you’re in a large enough area because the picture does not lie. This kite is huge!

Large Blue Delta Kite is alot of fun. This kite is really large, as it measures 9 feet across tip and 5 feet tall. Setup on the ground is easy as the yellow marked fiberglass poles go across and the red marked poles insert vertically. All poles have clear plastic tip protectors to insert and remove easily into the sewn pockets at the tips of the kite. The outer edges of the kite have preinstalled poles but are separated to allow more compact folding and has to be connected in the middle and velcroed in place before flying. The wire clips to attach the tail and kite are very stiff and and small making it difficult for my average sized hands to pull apart to attach and detatch. It's really a pain on my fingertips. The other issue is the 98 feet kite tail is very long, it took me more than 5 minutes to wind this back up to fit into the carrying bag. Also the tail drags on the ground and run into people if the kite falls from a drop in wind speed. The kite tail is needed for stability and should be 3-8x the size of the kite, so it tail is about 25 feet too long in my opinion. This big kite needs much stronger winds to launch and stay in the air. Once there is a strong sustained wind to launch, the starter spool of kite string nearly rips out of my hand like my dog on a sudden dash jerking on the leash The thin string violently pulls from the spool and as my finger gets caught, it really hurts and feel like it will cut my finger off and the thing string causes some rope burn sliding across my hand as I try to unspool/spool against the srong winds. Wearing a pair of latex dipped work gloves provides me with ample protection. But replacing with a reel spool is highly recommended. The instruction sheet is pictoral and very self explanatory. But I disagree with this kite is suitable for a child as young as age 3. This big kite under heavy wind conditions is more suitable for someone over 50 lbs with sufficient arm strength to handle.

I ordered this kite for use in the windy south Texas area I live. I used to be really big into kites and kite making and this here is now my favorite I've had in a long time. This is a big kite and children will need supervision because of it. The kite is beautifully made, and the seaming is as nice as kites costing a lot more. The delta design makes it easy to launch in surprisingly light breezes and be capable of handling stiffer winds as well. It's not a power kite, but this can let you get into the awesome hobby of adding line laundry. Assembly only takes a couple of minutes, and the rosin fiber tubular spars are extremely stiff. This provides the kite with enough strength to handle breezes that would collapse other kites. This will easily lift spinners, parachuting teddies, line running gliders, etc. the added tail makes the already steady delta even more stable. If you have a decently consistent breeze this can stay aloft on its own staked out on the beach. They include a spool of line, but they even suggest buying a nice quality spool and high-quality line which I'd recommend as well since it can handle such a wide range of winds, and you don't want to send it on a one-way trip!

Oh wow this is a very large delta kite. It's very easy to assemble for flying. The cross braces are all very strong.A good deal of wind is needed for kites this large to lift off and stay up. So be aware. Also, I HIGHLY recommend a pair of gloves and something more stout for a string real. Handling a kite this large in wind can be a challenge to the hands. Please please at the very least, WEAR GLOVES.I absolutely love the way delta kites fly. They are easy to handle. This one is mostly no different. Because it is so big, it can be a challenge to fly at times and I would NOT recommend it for the younger ones out there. Teen and up IMO. The tail is VERY long also, so keep that in mind. The list price of 38 dollars is not out of line for a kite of this size and quality.Overall I really loved flying this big kite. SGftre makes some good kites and this is the best I've flown from them so far!

This thing is big! The tail is insanely long and I didn’t even attach it so I didn’t have to roll it back up.My kids (7,6,4) tried to fly this thing alone and it was near impossible. It’s simply too large for them to get a good handle on it as it’s low to the ground. Also once it was at its max height my youngest had a hard time holding onto it because of the sheer strength it required. That said this kite is the best I have bought on Amazon. I would easily recommend this kite with one caveat. It has a bad handle. It’s the old cheap flat pack style that requires a weird wrist flick to let out and is insanely tiring to wrap back up. Wish it came with a reel style.

This is perfect if you want a very large, strikingly colored kite for the beach. I've got several kites made by SGftre already, and just like them this kite is very well made from durable components. The assembly is simple but you'll want a helper just to keep it from flapping while you put it together. My only complaint is that it ships with one of those cheap little hand winders for the line, and a kite this size pulls so hard that such a winder is inadequate - you want a reel for a kite this big. There are numerous reels on Amazon and if you get this kite, or any kite this size, do yourself a favor and get a reel. You'll thank Pappy.I wanted to post in-flight pics but late summer here is mostly windless, so I'll wait for a good day and come back and update with flight pics. In the meantime I love the kite and can't wait to fly it.
