I haven’t used an air purifier before but now I wonder how we lived without it. Purchased during an old home renovation which was very helpful for the dust & whatnot that gets all over the house even if the reno area is sealed off. It’s very quiet—nearly silent on the lowest setting. But the really amazing thing is that it has cut back SO MUCH in my partner’s snoring which turns out was due at least in part to allergies! We didn’t know that until we started using it. We run it at the low setting all night with the bedroom door closed. Probably overkill but that’s how we do it. It’s almost a miracle for us (especially ME!!) as far as the snoring. (I’m definitely not saying it cures snoring or sleep apnea of course, but if allergies are causing congestion leading to snoring, this may really help!!) It really does clean the air—the external cloth filter got covered with dust after a few weeks. (Easy to remove & wash). We changed the filter after a few months (easy to do) & it definitely was dirty and clearly doing its job. I can’t really compare the to other air purifier brands - this one isn’t cheap and maybe there are others just as good for less $$- but we are very happy with this. (Note: we don’t use the smart features- we just turn it on & off the old fashioned way. But it did connect easily to our WiFi. Also pro tip: the light was REALLY bright at night - until we figured out there are different settings for the brightness- so do read the instructions about how the controls work lol).

The Blueair Max does a fantastic job! They pull numerous particulates from the air to keep air quality excellent. They’re quiet and very effective. I would recommend this brand and model

this filter does a great job of filtering smoke and making the air quality way way better in my apartment. The noise level level is very low so you don’t even notice it on all the time and it’s a great value for the money.

Very Noisy on high. Doesn't seem to work on cigarette smoke that rarely comes in from neighbors. Filter change warning doesn't reflect actual condition of filter, seem to be based on hours on. Windows are closed here mostly, unit is in low use small bedroom, no pets or kids running around, no smoking.

The filter comes in a rectangular box, folded. It requires the user to disassemble the 211i MAX purifier to remove the old filter; it is pretty easy but you can watch how to do it in the app. The app will tell the user when the filter life is getting low and I was promoted at 5% to replace it. Installation is easy and the entire prefilter and top mount insert go together without difficulty. If you haven't done so in a while, I would recommend washing the pre-filter before reassembling the unit. After installation, plug in the machine and wait for it to initialize. Note that you have to press the fan speed button for 15 seconds, wait for the LED's to flicker twice, to reset the filter life; the app is remiss in that it does not have a reset function. You should have 99-100% filter life after this is done. Incidentally, with 24/7 use (16 hours at AUTO and 8 hours at "Night" setting), my original filter lasted exactly one year.
