This works for my LG model LFC21770ST with Embraco EGX 80HLC compressor. Had a difficult time finding the OEM part. This was available quickly and for a great price, so I gave it a try. Previously the fridge would make a loud metallic click sound and the compressor would start maybe 1 out of every 5 tries. With this part installed, no more odd sounds. The compressor kicks on right away and purrs just like it used to.

Just in time for a pandemic lock down, my LG model LFC25770SW/03 refrigerator started clicking every time the compressor would try to start and was not getting as cold as usual. Ordered this start relay on the advise of another reviewer with the same model of refrigerator and was pleased to find that the part was an direct replacement. In very little time, my refrigerator was running like new. Note that this part is not the OEM replacement start relay for the LG model LFC25770SW/03 (it costs over $100), but looks identical (less the branding) and fits perfectly. I transferred my existing run capacitor to the new start relay with no trouble. YouTube videos show how to swap the parts.

** UPDATE : Literal garbage. Came rattling which is to be a tale sign it’s ineffective. I even got this one and one from another vender as my last one seemed to be a dud, I got another one here and that one incase this one also failed. But guess what, they BOTH came rattling and failed. I tried both still, just incase but, nope. Maybe the problem isn’t the relay at all but considering the issue I’m having (and the previous one working for a couple hours), I am fairly certain it is (if I find it isn’t, I’ll update this review again), but if it is, what actual pieces of garbage. Idk how everyone else was successful with theirs as I got 3 busted ones. I ordered a genuine piece from the manufacturer instead. No more of these. **Worked…for about 4hrs. And then it didn’t. Idk if it’s defective or what but I’m hoping that’s the case. It fit and had all the right areas needed etc. and like I said, it started to work, at least it seemed so - the clicking I was having stopped. But then suddenly started again after only a couple hours. I changed it back out to the original and, this new one was very hot and when I shook it, it made a noise (originally didn’t - I heard on YouTube a sign of this being bad is there being this noise) so, not sure if it failed or what?? Maybe I installed it wrong though, pretty sure I did not with following YouTube. Overall I ordered a replacement so, we’ll see.
