We use this on an appliance that is supposed to be unplugged after each use, but the plug is difficult to get to. It works great. The only negative part of our experience is that it arrived with a dead battery, and it takes 12v batteries which are kind of expensive. Still, we would recommend this product.

Using this with my workshop dust collector. Perfect for application. i can keep remote in pocket and just reach in to turn it on or off at the tool i'm using. saves me steps around the room.

I opened the package today and immediately tested it inside, before I installed it outside, and I am so glad I did.I was amazed, and somewhat bemused, that the remote needed to be within 3 inches of the outlet to switch it. Needless to say we had to immediately return it.I wish I could find a decent unit to replace the one that failed, but it seems that most of these units are basically Chinese crap.
