These work out to like $.03 each in this quantity. Remember when you paid $3 for a single transistor at Radio Shack? I have not had a single DOA from the pack so far. This is a common "maker" part you should have to drive loads beyond the microcontroller output capability.

The beta drops to 14-15 at 1mA! Tested several with the same results. Whatever the are, they are not 2N2222s.
