I use these on stainless firearms for polishing out fine scratches. They work very well when used with a bit of oil (I prefer Ballistol). Just take your time and go slowly.

I bought these because I saw a video about using the 3M version to put a satin finish on steel. I've used them for steel on watches and knives, and I've never used the name brand version, but these were much less expensive and work great!

Perfect for preparing metal surfaces for painting. These are thicker than some red pads I've used in the past. I like them.

Worked well on aluminum engine block surfaces for getting surface imperfections and impurities off without leaving deep scratches.

I used these on removing old paint instead of sanding and they worked well. I needed to scuff the surface enough to paint.

Very good abrasive for cleaning metal without damaging it. I got this to clean up some engine parts that I didn't want to damage with sandpaper. It works.

I wanted to refinish a brushed watch bracelet that had some minor scratches on it and this product worked very well and it was the cheapest I could find.

Just as described. Works well for painting projects, the only downside is price.
