I think the bad reviews are from people not to bright... Yes, I said it. The magnetic end is replaceable but only Replace about every 2-3 years. When using the hammer you only use the magnetic side once to get nail driven into what your nailing THEN you quickly .5sec later spin hammer to other side of "back end" of hammer and woolah start nailing your nail without slowly damaging the magnetic side.These style hammers deserve at least 4stars all day!!!!!! I know there not all shinny and cool looking but there old school and they get the job done efficientlyWon't regret the purchase

I recently made purchase for a magnetic hammer.The first hammer lost its magnetization in just 15 minutes of use and another hammer was sent in replacement. Now the second hammer sent also lost it's magnetization with approximately 3 hours of use.I can't understand why this is happening?
