I bought this self adhesive body patch to build my custom Ghostbusters Proton Pack.I heavily modified the pack.I basically cut the main part of the body in half, removing a 2" wide chunk of material across the whole thing. When I was done hacking it up, there was a huge gaping hole. There wasn't any structural integrity.I used this material to back up the U-POL 7061 flexible body filler that I used.(The body of this pack is a flexible material like a plastic car bumper). This patch material was easy to cut and easy to shape. As you can see I had a lot of curves and odd shapes to fill. This patch material did an excellent job of keeping shape and staying put while I applied the filler.I am very happy. Just look at the end results in the pics.I could not have done this project without this self adhesive body patch.Good stuff!

I always use bondo brand. My first time filling a hole. The patch was easy to bend and adjust to fit what I needed. The adhesive could be stronger, I used some gorilla glue on the edges of the patch before I bondo the rust hole in my car. It came out great and very professional looking. Saved me 500 bucks (quoted from Local body shop)

So I had to rebuild the wheel well on my 02 Silverado due to rust. The rust ate through both the seam of the inner wheel housing and the outer bed panel where they come together and are welded. This is a common problem. If enough of the seam can be salvaged and treated with rust converter, you can use these patches/mesh to rebuild the seam and repair the entire damaged area. I used the old structure as a scaffold to hold the patch/mesh after I used a straight edge like a right angle ruler to recreate the seam. It worked great. Then I used the vertical flange of the new mesh to stick to the inner vertical wall of the wheel well until I was able to use fiber glass to hold it in and start the reconstruction process between the fiber glass and filler: fiberglass for the primary filler and structure rebuild and filler for 1/4" or less resurfacing for painting. I created a how to do video on youtube. The job came out great and saved me from having to purchase GM only supplied bed panels priced at $1200 each and wheel wells at $400 each. The only complaint I have is that the patches are not sticky enough to hold on to anything. So it was a waste of time to add this feature. The sticky side should stick to most anything to add value.

This stuff is great, if you don't want to weld, or can't afford it. Allows a surface for body filler to adhere to.

I used this along with some JB weld steel sticks to fix a couple small rust holes in my rear floorboards. As others have commented, the adhesion isn't very good but the sheets cut and form very easily. I used the sheets to cover the holes then added thin layers of epoxy on both the top and bottom to make two incredibly strong and waterproof patches. Would buy again.

Holds well with bonds over it. Repaired 2 cars with cracked bumpers. Wish backing but more sticky

Doesn't work for small dents, dent should be larger than cup size. Vacuum not adequately produced most of the times if complete occlusion is not there

Did a great job pulling a couple large dents from a car. Was tricky to get it to suction at first on the uneven surface but once you get the hang of it it world very well. Won't pull out a dent small than its surface size so it is better for larger dents. Has a lot of suction power. I was actually impressed.

Started grinding the side of the car and it started to disappear. Popped these in place and started to add the fiberglass filler over it. Worked great. Holes all gone and it's super strong. Sheets are easy to cut and shape, you may have to hold them in place temporarily , but the do have adhesive on them.
