Bontone II Rooting Powder

It worked really well on a rubber tree cutting. The roots formed quickly and the tree is growing and healthy.

I ordered this, along with a bonsai tree that had to be propagated. I tapped out a little of this powder and dipped the end in water then the powder. The instructions that came with the tree said it would need propagation for 3-4 weeks. I had three-inch long roots by the middle of the second week. Beautiful, healthy roots. This product, fortunately, does exactly what it claims. 10/10 would recommend.

I have not used the product yet, but will update it when I do. First impressions:- There was no seal on the bottle. Not sure if this was intentional, but I like that I don’t have to fight the bottle.- The bottle is barely even half full. This absolutely could’ve been filled up a LOT more.

I used a couple of times. Once it worked. My clippings are growing and are beautiful. But they are tradescantias and those usually take pretty easily wven without this product.But I just used a couple of weeks ago to propagate my pink polka dot plant and it’s not taking. All the clippings I planted are dying. So I don’t know. I’m still hoping they will start rooting soon.So honestly I’m not quite sure how much this improves the rooting process.

We use this to help root cuttings. This was recommended by a landscape architect friend and it seems to do the trick. Used it to propagate forsythias in the fall and had pretty good results.

The bottle is lot smaller than I thought according to product photos on Amazon. It killed my Hoya Australis Tricolor overnight. Pretty upset about it—was my favorite plant—but giving it âï¸âï¸âï¸ because though I haven’t tried it on any other plants, I can’t deny the problem could have been user error. Use caution with this product!!

I absolutely love this stuff. It works amazingly well. Great size though it would help if the bottle was a bit larger. It really speeds up the process and helps the plants survive. It’s a great product and so t disappoint!

I’ve been using Bonide Bontone II Rooting Powder for my plumerias, and it’s made a huge difference. It’s easy to apply and really speeds up root development, giving my cuttings a great start. I’ve had much better success with propagation since using this powder, and it works well for other houseplants and transplants too. A must-have for anyone who loves growing plants!
