Indoor Roller Skate Wheels
Although this roller skate wheel was designed specifically for roller derby, it marks an excellent indoor skate wheel even if you are not playing roller derby. The Evolve indoor roller skate wheel comes in 4 hardness', 88a Blue wheels, 92a purple wheels, 95a red wheels, and black 98a wheels. Indoor floors are typically made of very smooth wood so you can skate on very hard wheels. Softer wheels such as 78a wheels are designed for outdoor skating on surfaces such as concrete and asphalt. To select the best wheel for your indoor skating needs you should consider the grippyness of the floor and your weight. The heavier the skater, the harder the wheel you should select. Similarly, the gripper the floor, the harder the wheel you should select. If you are unsure which hardness is the best for you, select 92a as a good all-around choice. The Bont evolve roller skate replacement wheel is suitable for all brands of roller derby skates including Bont, Riedell, Sure-grip, Antik, Crazy, Impala, and Chaya.
HISTORY
Bont was founded in Sydney in 1975 when Inze Bont, a recreational speed skater decided to fiberglass the back of his leather speed skates to gain more support. Bont was the first footwear manufacturer to use exotic material like fiberglass in 1974, Kevlar in 1986 and Carbon Fiber in 1989, and the first to use heat moldable resins and thermoplastics. In the 1980's Bont dominated the quad racing scene with the lightest and strongest boots on the market thanks to our unique one-piece manufacturing technique. Bont was the first quad skate company to use lace covers, velcro, and aluminum strengtheners in the boots.

I bought the purple wheels and got the red rollerbones bearings to switch out on my skates for rink skating and they are great! They are smooth, quick, and great for me a semi beginner!

I’m in a Fresh Meat program for the local roller derby team (Big Easy Rollergirls) and one of my team mates had these wheels on her Bont Quadstar skates. When I tried her skates on I liked the way they felt when I did a t-stop and plow stop. I ordered a set. I’m still breaking mine in but I like them overall. For reference I’m 5’3†and between 187-190lbs. I’m not sure if weight and wheel hardness have any correlation but I was sliding around on 96a...these 92a seem to do the trick.

I was so worried about these bc they are expensive in my opinion but holy smokes I love them. Totally worth the money. I could pass my 27/5 no problem.i can really zoom zoom in these!!!

I love these wheels. Very fast, very grippy, quite light. Used indoors on polished wood floor of leisure centre. Increased my top speed straight away.

I have Snyder Advantage plates with 7mm axles and I can not get the nut on the end of the axle with these wheels. I ended up having to reverse the nuts so the nylon bushing threaded on first to get enough thread on the axle to hold the wheel.

Ok I know it’s my problem for not reading correctly but really ! Who skates with one skate? 4 wheels. Just sell 8!
