Replacing either of the "upstream" heated o2 sensors (= lambda sensors) looks to be and should be a pretty easy job on most N51 or N52-powered BMW cars. You should remove the plastic engine cover and the whole cabin air filter/cowl covering, but that's about all it takes to get access to the rear bank o2 sensor that sits just below a little metal shelf/cover of sorts. The wiring for both sensors wraps around back of the valve cover and joins two connectors on top of it.I spent way too much time trying to remove that little metal cover just above the bank 2 o2 sensor because of a tiny rusted bolt (E8 Torx) caused by 17+ years of heat and exposure. Eventually I just bent the cover upward enough to allow an offset-style o2 sensor socket to slip past it with the cable in it and I was able to unscrew the bad upstream o2 sensor easily.With the little cover out of the way, the whole job should take you less than an hour to replace one, or maybe even both of these sensors on the N52 engine. The new sensor has some appropriate anti-seize on its threads already. After you install it/them, reset your diagnostic codes and you're on your way - my last one lasted 150,000 miles.

Fits my 2000 Chevy C2500 5.7L. These Downstream O2 sensors fit the O2 connectors on the vehicle and each unit comes with the plastic plug extension to hold it to the frame. It was acceptable to cut through the old plastic plug since this unit has it's own, no need to struggle to preserve the old one. I'm not sure how long this unit will last, but after changing out my catalytic convertors (2 on this make and model truck) I installed two of these in the downstream location, and bought the 2 upstream O2 sensors separately, as they have a different connector. After installing everything, the truck passed the state Smog Test. Install time: 30 minutes for all four if you have to crawl under the truck. Easy installation. I suggest using a spray on lubricant on the old sensors and letting that sit for a time. I sprayed them one day ahead and the old ones came out easily without having to run the truck and heat the exhaust pipes.

Works as described for the 2008 Volvo s80. Fixed my p0190 engine code.Easy install and removal with just a torx screw holding it in. There will be some gas that comes out during install but don’t worry.The tight of this product was not as snug as the original, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem
