My Kia Sportage was chugging and all related blog posts I could find pointed to this part to address the issue/behavior. It is a blind installation (can't see parts or bolts, all by feel) under the vehicle, so not a great fit for beginner DIY mechanics, but still doable for novices with a good instructional video.Spent $25 on this part and 90 mins to do it myself as opposed to paying a shop $900. The part has been installed for over a month and over 1,000 miles with no issues, so couldn't be happier.

My car was losing power when I pushed the accelerator pedal more than halfway down. Anyone who knows cars knows this could be anything from lack of fuel, air or spark to a host of many other things. This was my first attempt at repair and it did the job! I am so happy it fixed my car! I did the job myself with ramps, and several socket extensions put together to remove the covers blocking it. Its been a month and my car is still running well!

I initially bought a no name brand on Amazon which failed after 1.5 yrs. I'm hoping this one wont be a total junk like the others. I'll update if it fails early but my engine sounds smooth and quiet for now.

Don’t even bother with this. Just pay the extra 30 bucks at a parts store. It didn’t even last 30 miles. I drove to work which is about 25 miles. On my way home the engine light came on and it started cutting out on acceleration. I drove to a parts store and they checked the code which said the crank shaft position sensor was defective.
