We have an old pair of Bose 301 Series I speakers my wife purchased in the late 70s. They had been in their original box out in the garage since 2000; when I pulled them out a while back I saw the woofer foam surrounds were rotted out. I was ready to take the speakers to Goodwill when I found out about the foam edge repair kits. The kit seems a little spendy for what you get (two foam rings and a tube of glue) but apparently a lot of engineering has gone into their design. The instructions were very good, but watching the Simply Speakers videos on on line helped make a few details more clear. I was able to install them without difficulty over about four hours. (There are three steps requiring glue, and the glue has to dry for an hour.) The bottom line is I now have a great set of vintage speakers for my shop; they sound fantastic when driven by a little Lepai 2020A amp connected to Pandora.

These worked - I got my 301's back for next to nothing in cost. It takes a bit of patience to get the old stuff off the speak cone.

I was skeptical, but decided to give it a try.Almost threw out my old Bose speakers, with the deteriorated surrounds, unable to get replacements from Bose.I was very pleasantly surprised. Easy installation, and I can’t hear any difference from when the speakers were new.

Followed directions but the static got worse not better. What a waste of good money. I loved my speakers, but I think they are on their way out the door.

My poor old Interaudio Bose 300 speakers had rotted away. I bought them in 1985 so I can't complain. I considered new replacement woofers and while looking for them I found this repair kit by accident. Turns out I saved a lot of money and my speakers are like brand new. Follow the instructions online, take your time and it will work just fine. I had no trouble whatsoever. It was super easy and I am very happy customer. Every now and then a product works as advertised and these delivered 100%

I called around to repair some Bose speakers that the foam had deteriorated- wanted 140 per speaker- saw this kit on Amazon and took a chance- couldn’t be happier- easy repair with this kit - less than 3o bucks for both - everything you need and video if you need it - great product

Product arrived with the glue burst and spilled inside the bag which caused the brush to fuse to the glue tube. This made the application very difficult and messy, fortunately there’s was still enough useable glue to use for its intended purpose.
