I bought a different brand knowing that this was the one to buy. I returned them as soon as I got them because they did not have the metal cut guard to stop you from over cutting the nail. this one also has a LED light to help you see the quick. I would definitely recommend these to any person cutting their own pets nails.

We have a Labrador Retriever, and we bought these clippers to carefully trim its thick, dark toenails. We find that they give us efficient and neat cuts. Unlike our previous clippers, these have not broken.

In the description and details these said they’re good for cats and dogs. I have a very hard time clipping my cats nails with them. Also the guard that prevents you from cutting too short is next to impossible to use.

I've gone through many dog clippers trying to find the right ones that are sharp and easy to grip. The light on these is an added bonus that really helps you see where you're cutting. Nice and sharp and so far these are the best I have found

I am a nurse. I have done trauma, transplant, OR and the emergency room.But when it comes to clipping my dogs nails? I am a complete wimp.When I was young I remember doing my pup's nails and I snipped to far.He cried, he bled, I cried. It was traumatic for both of us.I do rescue and foster. All of them are super active.Except one who is sick with Valley Fever. And her nails grow like crazy!I bought these to help cut her nails.Everyone has told me how easy and safe it is.It looks simple and I still couldn't.It is my goal for next year

Edit: Seller immediately made things right.This item arrived broken. The black little locking mechanism is broken & does not stay in place. It’s a very small black plastic piece & can be easily lost. Not able to unlock without it. I’m heartbroken and disappointed because it looks & feels like a good quality product, other than this little plastic piece. It is heavy and seems like good quality product other than the little plastic black piece that is for locking and unlocking. Unfortunately, I could not find information to contact the seller, so I will be returning it.
