This is the second time I have bought BougeRV products and I am very satisfied with this product. I needed some cable to make a long run and to also have some left over to make some shorter "jumper" cables between panels. Thought I would give these a try. I have learned that not all 10AWG cables are the same. These were very hefty and I felt like it was a really good product.So far, they have worked out quite well for me. Thick enough that I feel like the wiring inside is well protected, but not so thick that they are hard to work with. Conductivity seems to be just right also. If you need some cables, I highly recommend these.

Others have written about 10 AWG cables that weren't really 10 AWG. Flimsy types. Because of that , I went with a name brand that I trusted. I didn't know anything about bougeRV until I started buying some of their products. From experience I've found they actually make good products. These cables are thick. And when you consider they send them to you via free shipping- that's a good deal. If you already have RourgeRV MC4 connectors, then you will be all set when it comes in. It took a while to get them as they weren't in stock when I wanted them but I'm glad I waited. I spent about 30 minutes attaching the MC4 BourgeRV connectors and plugged in the solar panels and it's producing power. Would buy again.

They are very well insulated, with double jacketed insulation. 100% copper wiring inside, as advertised. The MC4 connectors are very strong and thus can be hard to remove and reconnect if you're working on your solar setup. They're easy to install, and look very professional if you use wire clips. The AWG rating is not 100% accurate as the insulation makes it look a bit bigger. They perform well and have minimal power loss, I measured .05 ohms resistance throughout a 10ft run. So good, I used the spare wire to connect the batteries to the charge controller. Their customer support is great as well, when I got some defective ones with breaks, they sent me new ones right away! Shipping was late but that's Amazon's fault.

I have to admit I AM NOT an expert in this particular field -- but since I was in 'electronics' for over 38 years, and have been 'reading' up on these emergency power generation devices for the past ten years, I feel like I should share a little 'expertise' with the MANY Americans who consider electronics as a mystery that will never be understood.... The fact is that this particular field is extremely critical for preppies and the like -- who have accepted the technology as 'insurance' for EOTWAWKI. I've recently bought a portable power generator from 4PATRIOT, and it uses this kind of heavy duty cabling between components (solar cells, control box w/ storage battery, and 'loads' like lights, freezer, refrigerators, etc....to the limits of the storage battery(s) of course -- bear in mind it is NOT limitless, and therefore the loads have to be carefully managed and controlled, with POWER generation vs POWER loading into lights, refrigerators, etc. as the 'circuit' to be using that electrical power (again, DC power, sometimes converted back to AC) depending on need. The AC power if available from the 'GRID', or DC power from solar cells, is used to keep the battery(s) charged to maintain the main source of power for your house. Not limitless for sure, but it could be life-saving. Insurance. Hope I helped, but it's NOT black magic, for sure. Just science. And these type of good heavy conductors/cables/wires are just a part of the overall circuit design.

It seems to be good quality wire and the connectors seem to be decent and fit together snuggly. I am not an expert on solar stuff. I am new to this, but everything seems to be right and tight.

I have these on 1200w of solar panels and so far they seem to be working week. I checked connections with a thermal camera while around 1000w and there were no heat issues.

Came quick and better plugs than some other cheap brands. Pay a bit more but get a better product such as this. Happy buyer and will buy again. Peace
