I'm sure it would be safer to hire my gutters done, but I'm surrounded by mature trees that seem to never be done dropping leaves, needles, acorns, and pine cones. So I do it myself. I've had this telescoping ladder for five months now, and it works well. I'm in my 60's without a lot of upper body strength, and I can carry this ladder okay when it's folded down. When it's in position, it's quite easy to raise it up. Lowering it back down is a little scary for fingers, but you just have to use caution and keep your hands out of the way! It did take a little getting used to the slight wobble/flexing it has when it's fully extended. But again, exercise caution climbing up and down each rung, and it is quite sturdy.

The ladder itself is very good and I recommend it. It does flex a bit (I'm 230 lbs.) as you get toward the top, but it was fine once I got used to what to expect. Opening and closing was simple and straightforward. The issue I have is the lack of assembly instructions for the bottom support bracket. I'm a home improvement guy, but the assembly wasn't intuitive. The pieces were far too snug. I needed to use a rubber mallet to get everything seated properly. It was also confusing because there is a small plastic piece that needs to be removed, but I didn't know that because (for some inexplicable reason) there were no directions.

For context, I'm a professional Union Ironworker Journeyman that's used to climbing tall extension ladders onto iron beams in construction. But for home use, I wanted something more compact that saves space. So I took a gamble on this 26' telescopic extension ladder. Since I needed to seal a crack on the roof of my house at the eavestrut soffit end behind a gutter end. Firstly, it takes 2 people to safely extend/collapse this ladder. Secondly, the rungs are too far apart for climbing easily, especially if you're shorter. So it makes you climb much slower and watch every step you take. Thirdly, I didn't need to have the last few bottom rungs extended, to reach the top of my roof with the hooks...yet the ladder still bows like crazy. Feels very unsafe to climb up above 10'-15'. Even with a rated capacity of 300+ lbs for this ladder (I'm 5'9" and 185 lbs), feels like it wants to bow in and collapse with every step ascended. Overall not a well made product. Save your money and get a standard fiberglass/aluminum extension ladder instead. I know they take up more space, but for the added safety, they're worth it.

The best and safest ladder I have used, I'm 67 years old and don't need help that never shows up to clean pecans off of my roof. FN awesome to store when done, 10 stars from me

I bought this as an alternative to a 25 foot fiberglass and aluminum extension ladder. Turns out that was a good idea on my part. This ladder is easy to use, set up, move and store. It’s stable when fully extended. Set up and take down is a breeze for one person as is carrying it.
