This is a review for “BOYISEN RV Jack Cover, 900D Oxford Fabric Waterproof Electric Tongue Jack Cover for Travel Trailer, Camper Accessories for Outside Protectionâ€I know this is advertised as an electric jack cover, but I wanted it simply to cover my hand-crank jack, onto which I have fashioned an adapter to accept my power drill to spin the handle. The adapter is made of steel and such, so it will probably rust and get ugly over the years if I don’t cover it too. This cover seems to be durable enough, I don’t expect it to tear accidentally with any normal use, even with the chains hanging on it. Time will tell how long it will last with the sun degrading the material, but at least during that time it will be protecting the hardware underneath. Design is straightforward, just as pictured, and will be very easy to use. For the price of ~$15, it is kind of a no-brainer to use this. It might replace the bucket I have been using up to now to cover the jack, or it might simply be used in conjunction with it or at the times when I am using the bucket for other things, especially while actually camping. I think you’ll appreciate the simplicity and function.

Fits my electric tongue jack perfectly. I like that it has the ability to close the bottom of it with the drawstring. The first couple times of putting it on and taking it off the drawstring has been a little tight and I cannot close it as much as I would like to, especially since the area I live in is VERY windy. Because of that, I really like that it has links where you can hang the hooks from your safety chains. It definitely secures it better for those really windy days. So far, it has done a really good job of keeping the rain, snow and sun off my jack. We will see how long it takes for the sun to bleach the black color from it, but for now it is doing its job and doing it well.

I used this device a few weeks ago, just before I went for a short camping vacation, and I have to say that it has already shown to be a wise purchase for the general protection of the electric tongue jack that is installed in my travel trailer. In the past, I have had negative experiences with coverings that promised to be resistant to the elements but ended up deteriorating or shredding after just a few months of use. On the other hand, in comparison to the ones I've used in the past, this one seems much more sturdy and intelligently designed, and I believe that its design is a good fit for my requirements. After removing the cover from its packaging, one of the first things that I came to notice was how substantial and long-lasting the material felt. The fabric seems to have a weave that is somewhat denser than the majority of conventional covers, which gives me confidence that it will be able to withstand frequent exposure to dusty environments, sunshine, and rain. In my opinion, it is very effective in warding off water. I gave the cover a short examination during a recent light rain, and I saw that droplets beaded on the surface rather than instantly soaking into the cloth. This was something that I discovered from my inspection. By the time the shower was over, the surface of my electric tongue jack was still dry, which is evidence that the waterproof coating is doing its job efficiently.

I installed this on my 2 year old electric jack mounted on the front of my travel trailer. It fit easily and the two draw strings help keep it in place. It also has large rings to hook the tow chains into, I opted not to do that. Installation was just slipping it on and pulling the two draw strings.Overall, I think the construction is good, and it is perfect for covering an electric trailer jack. My jack was starting to show signs of weather after 2 years. This will help not only with that, but also help prevent moisture ingress, which is detrimental to the life of these jacks.I like the concept of the rings to hold the safety chains, but I do not think the cover will hold up well with that much weight on them (mine are heavy). But, I also have another more secure way of holding them when not in transit.I think this is good value, it should be durable, and is an excellent addition (better than a bucket over the top) to any electric jack that needs some protection from the elements.

I just received the cover I ordered for my RV electric tongue jack. Shipping was fast, I ordered it on the 3rd and received it on the 6th. It was well packaged when it arrived. My RV isn't here so I couldn't take a picture on the jack but here are two pictures showing both the outside and the inside of the cover. The 900D material is a nice thickness and should last a long time. The coating inside also appears that it will keep the fabric waterproof for some time. When turning it inside out to examine the stitching you can see the quality of the stitching from the inside. There are two D ring buckles attached to a strap on each side and both the front and the back have a cinch cord with plastic cord lock. I think this is a well made cover for the price. If it was made in a lighter color like a tan or gray it might take less beating from the sun and last longer.

What immediately stood out for me when I saw this cover was the rings to hook the safety chains onto. The safety chains on our camper have rusted badly over the years because there is really no way for me to keep them off of the ground. Hooking them onto the rings also secures the cover on the jack head. The materials seem durable, but really only time will tell.

This is made of a nice, strong material that should last for the life of your RV. I like the additional touch of suspending your chains from the bag so that they don't sit in water on the ground. The only additional touch that might be nice is for the bag to cinch tighter around the base of the jack motor, but... suspending the chains eliminates any concern re: looseness, and a thinner material would have to be used for the closure area of the bag to make cinching easier, so it would lose some of its heavy duty quality. Good item.
