Perfect for our needs. My 5 year old son hates big bulky jackets. He refuses to wear them to school even when it gets pretty cold outside. So I decided to try layering instead and this jacket worked out perfectly for it. He wears a long sleeve shirt and a light zip up sweater underneath and this on top. He’s still warm enough without the bulk of a big coat. It’s also wind and rain resistant and still has the warmth he needs. I love that it has a spot to write him name and the reflectors are really nice too. Overall, it’s a great purchase.I purchased a small (6/7) he’s an average size 5 year old. It fits great.

Got a smaller green one for my 3 yo and a red bigger one for 11 yo. Both boys like them and I like the functionality of them and the reflective details. Only thing better would be if the sleeves had a softer lining.

My son is 7 years old and wears a size 8, medium youth. It is true to size and the liner is warm, yet not bulky and too heavy. He slides on easily over his clothes and the hood fits well without adding weight to it. His favorite color is red, and it’s a super red.
