We’re on our 3rd set of these for each of our dogs, not because they wear out or break but because I made the mistake of ordering the correct size as they grew from being puppies to big dogs. The max size listed should be considered the absolute fully opened minimum size. Any of these will go all the way down to 0 in size so being too big isn’t an issue, being too small is. Pick the size you think you need then order 1-2 sizes larger.Our dogs run free range in our woods so we don’t wear a collar full time, we’ve had 2 different times the dogs have gotten stuck by a collar in brush and couldn’t get free so they run naked now. That means when they need a collar/leash I’m always having to put them on/off. I like these because they go on/off very easy (if you get a big enough size). The stopper is easy to adjust and allows the collar to be loose and relaxed under normal use, but tighten just enough to keep them from pulling out of it without choking them.They’re probably 100 times stronger and more durable than they need to be and the braided rope design makes them considerably more chew proof than any other collar design. Price is a little high but so is everything else any more.

This slip collar is well made and is nice and light. On my smaller dog I prefer a lighter leash and collar, so it doesn't continually fell like I have tension on the line between us. This one is very nice and when used with a light leash our dog doesn't even notice it unless I am sending commands with a light tug. The slip loop has a leather like cover and does not catch the dog's neck hair. Others I have used cover the slip loop junction with a silicone rubber cover that grips the hair when pulling the leash which has a tendency to pull on the neck hair. This one does not.The stop ring is also a nice feature so you can limit the amount of cinching that is applied and so there isn't too much pressure being applied around the neck. Great for smaller dogs or puppies that may be too delicate and tend to pull hard when being walked.

Nice collar. I like being able to adjust how tight it can get and that I can use whatever length leash I want as opposed to a slip leash.

Finally, and quality choke collar that I can use on my white haired American Bulldog (AB). I have a strong, white haird AB who loves to pull when walked. I walk him using two leashes. One on a harness and another on a choke collar because he is so strong. I was using a stainless steel chain choke collar but it would give a dark colored stain on my dog's neck. Super annoying and hard to wash off. I was very happy to find this rope choke style collar. This rope style does NOT stain my dog's neck, and so far, all the stitching has held up to my strong dog. Time will tell how long it lasts but I've been walking my dog and it has been doing great. Thank you to the company that makes this. This is absolutely what I needed.

I loved the size and thickness of the collar. I bought in 2 sizes. I was using the smaller one for comfort and so as to not have extra length snagging on anything. It was really comfortable for my malinois. It was the main collar that stayed on all the time with ID tags and locater. However, when she pulled against it hard one time, it broke. Luckily, it wasn't a dangerous situation. The good part is the ID tags stayed on and didn't move past the leather section. I just wish it lasted.

I have a Husky and he at times likes to pull me as if I'm a sled, but I have the strength to counter his force. I used to have a metal agressive choke collar on him, however, I didn't like that he would get pain from it. This is a great alternative if you are able to physically restrain your energetic dog. I feel so much better for him now, and it is a great quality collar.Update: Just bought another because I like it so much
