I do a lot of breathing exercise in general. Breathing out through this straw like device helps me take measured breaths to get my anxiety down. I’m not a big fan of the chain it comes with, and didn’t intend on using it to begin with. I just keep the tube in my pocket. It’s made of quality stainless steel.

First of all, for me, the bracelet is a throwaway. I mean, it’s a nice thought, but at the same time, it doesn’t really have anything to do with, well, anything, and kind of feels like “we have all of these leftover bracelets; what should we do with ‘em?†kind of add-on. Maybe I’m biased because I’m not typically a fan of man-jewelry. (Also, at about 9.5â€, it’s quite long, though it does have about 2†of adjustment links to shorten it if you wish.)Notice that the length of the actual “whistle†(which doesn’t actually make any whistling sounds unless you blow into it juuuust right, which is probably unlikely) is NOT adjustable. One of the photos on the listing shows “adjustable length†and has the bevel toward the mouthpiece highlighted; I now realize that that’s referring specifically to the length of the necklace chain (which is a total length of about 27†– see my pics!). It’s obvious now that I’m looking at it more closely, so I don’t think any deception was intended; I just glanced too quickly (plus, I was kind of wondering why the length of the actual device would be adjustable; what purpose would that serve?).The chain itself feels a little chintzy, but I probably won’t wear it around my neck (see above re: man jewelry). However, I didn’t get this as a fidget toy or a smoking-cessation aid. I got it to practice circular breathing, because I’m learning to play the didgeridoo. When I practice circular breathing on my own, without any tools or props, I find that I release the air too quickly: having some resistance helps. I found that one of the best things I can use to practice with is a drinking straw, but the disposable ones don’t last, and the traditional stainless drinking straws are too long. This I can just toss in my pocket and voila. It provides JUST enough resistance to make it work; I have already worked with it and I’m excited to use it more. Now, as far as visual appeal and construction, the actual device is terrific. The blue is NOT the bright sapphire color I see in the listing. I’d call it a deep cobalt; in some lights, at a glance, it almost reads as black, until the light hits it and you get a brilliant “flash†of blue that’s just stunning. It’s well made: very smooth, super-comfortable, no rough edges or burrs. The manufacturer includes a tiny (just under 2.5†square) microfiber cloth, which I guess is nice…but honestly, I’d rather have had them skip that and the bracelet and instead include a better device to clean out the inside of the instrument: something like a microfiber-covered “pipe cleaner†(which I guess they now call “chenille stem.†That’s the only thing I’m worried about, is spittle staying inside the instrument. I’ll get something to clean it out, but had something been included, it would have put this over the top to five stars.I’d give it a healthy 4.5 stars, however, and recommend it heartily. Thanks for reading; I hope that my review helps you out!

This nifty little device is great for helping me center myself after a hectic day or interaction. All you have to do is take deep breaths and breathe into the whistle to relieve yourself of that stress. Such a simple practice goes a long way. The necklace/ whistle look great and feel well made.

Nice design, the end and feel of it work for replicating a cigarette, and the inclination to hold it or fixation of hand to mouth. Bit bulky for a necklace and has been mistaken both for a SA prevention whistle when being warned and I have ben admonished for vaping by mistake when attempting to use it in certain public spaces. Neither interaction were particularly pleasant. I keep it in a pocket instead when I have it on me now. Blue hasn't chipped and it a pretty bright pleasant color. Blue chain might have been a nice touch but the bracelet links are good quality albeit a bit big for my tiny wrist but it does adjust. Necklace chain is rather long but since it needs to reach your mouth regularly that's fair. It does actually function as a whistle if you blow hard enough which was funny and offputting when I discovered it after several days of occasional use. The breathing method specified of 7 seconds inhale, 4 seconds hold, 10 seconds exhale doesn't work great for me because the numbers are odd and haven't been committed to autopilot memory so It's a bit more consciously involved than I'd like. Not a multitasking capable thing for me, yet(?). It does provide some benefit when attempting to lower smoking frequency and soothe nerves in lieu of cigarette! It is a good looking well made product. It's a little difficult to exhale through and hard exhaling causes a whistle.

Well, i bought this for breath training. Covid kinda killed my lung capacity and as a singer, this was a problem. I'd heard good things, so I thought it try it.First of all, the necklace and bracelet holders are really nice. Like, nicer than I expected. The necklace is generous, around 26 inches the breather itself is a very pretty deep metallic blue.It seems to help with breath support. I can usually tell a difference between sessions.I do have massive anxiety but that wasn't the primary reason I got it, but tonight, I had an anxiety attack. Just too many little things went cattywompous at an event and I was very close to losing my cool. About 3 breaths in this thing, I was able to then brainstorm solutions. I went on to fix and facilitate the problems, and had a great time. It was a noticable difference between trying to gain control on my own, and using the tool. So, definitely recommend.

The whistle itself is far smaller/shorter than the item pictures suggest, only 2 inches long. I was hoping to use this as a faux vape as I try to ramp down that habit but it's smaller than a vape and not a good substitute. The chain is very long and feels like a nice lanyard chain. I keep expecting to find my ID at the end of it lol. I'll hold onto the whistle and try to use it for the breathing exercises. I definitely need to do more meditating these days. Overall, it's a good quality item, nice steel, well-done. I'm just not sure it'll work for me in any way.No idea why the bracelet is included or what it's for. It's far too big for me, even on the last link that makes it the smallest it can be, it's too big. It's not a bad bracelet for a man, nice quality, well-finished steel.
