We bought two packs (four lanterns total) for the Christmas stable at our church. They do not provide a large amount of light, but that is not why we bought them. They DID look like old candle-powered lanterns, which is what we wanted. They were light enough to hang anywhere, and (after you turned them on the first time and learned how the switch worked) easy to operate. We never used the time function, so we can't speak to how well that worked.

I really like these lanterns and have used them for a number of events -- weddings, Christmas, and just on display on my mantel. They are good quality and have held up well to all the use. I like the finish. I would definitely recommend these.

I saw a great decorating idea of someone hanging lanterns on their staircase for Christmas and wanted to duplicate. These were perfect!! I wired them to my spindles with simple florist wire. They are super light weight, easy to replace the batteries ( don’t come with them) and very elegant looking. Now that Christmas has passed they are out on my deck, sitting on my railing tops around my eating area so I get year round use. They are VERY light so when I am using them on my deck I set them down on the deck floor when wind is expected. Would be excellent for a covered area or screened porch. They are not SUPER bright so although they certainly give light they would not light up a room like LED, as they are intended to duplicate candle light. I will absolutely buy additional ones. Very elegant looking. Also when hanging on my staircase the battery pocket is on the bottom so I could replace batteries from below without having to remove them. Very nice looking product.Adding to this a year later: were exactly what I wanted For my decor last year. Did use them outside a bit on my deck this summer but the candles got very dim. Didn’t use them alot but when I grabbed them today to reuse for my stairways pictured above they were dead. New batteries were in so that wasn’t the reason.Just not durable. Took the candle in and guts looked fine but my husband thinks the circuit didn’t hold up and he’s very handy. Definitely not for heavy use. Changing my review to 4 stars - they suited my original purpose but I assume my extended use limited my ability to use them for the holidays again.

Excellent customer service…sent me a replacement when one was chipped…So pretty on my courtyard fence and love that they have a timer!

I bought 2 of these for my porch. One was broken. The top part covering was broken completely off! My husband had to super glue the top back on. I would not suggest buying these lanterns.

This lantern is very decorative and I loved how it looked around my pool. Everything is enclosed so the candle is protected from rain, etc. However, this product is very light weight and blew into my pool on a windy night and no longer works. Too bad it isn’t a little heavier so this wouldn’t happen. Also the batteries don’t last very long. It takes 3AAA batteries that didn’t even last a month so this can be pricey if used daily on the timer mode.

Replacing glass & metal lanterns with these was a great choice. The built-in candle makes battery changes easier, just pull off of their hooks, pop open the battery compartment, flip the switch & hang back up! They have a sturdy wood “look†to them but very lightweight plastic & I am okay with that. These serve a purpose for Light & not as Decor! The subtle light has a flicker to it & lights pathway with ambiance. Going to get another set for my back porch!

I was looking to add a little something next to my double front door, and so pleased that I found this lightweight option. There can be turned on with the use of batteries. Arrived quick and item was well packed. The latern quality is awesome!

The lanterns arrived well packaged. Construction is all plastic. They weather well outside. I had one separate at the top screw when opening the package. It dropped and the base of the lantern broke. I was able to repair it with tape but did report it to costumer service, as they had sent a follow up satisfaction letter. My report was immediately addressed and the company promptly sent two new lanterns without requiring me to return even the I damaged one. I was very impressed by how they value their customer satisfaction.
