I purchased this double suspension bridge for my two year old to replace a crappy suspension bridge we got in a Melissa and Doug deluxe train set. Although this bridge is made entirely of plastic aside from its wooden track, it's incredibly stable and durable. My toddler applies a lot of pressure while pushing his trains which causes light or unstable pieces to collapse. Fortunately we don't have that problem with this bridge thanks to the 6 legs that support each bridge. This is a lifesaver for me as my toddler is prone to life-ending-theatrical tantrums when his track falls apart. This set comes with two bridges (which together makes one large one), a small boy/girl piece to connect them in the middle, and two ascending tracks. My son has amassed quite a large Brio collection in the past couple of months and I've got to say they are definitely the best bang for your buck. They're super sturdy, attractive, stable, and a ton of fun.*One other major perk is that trains can fit under this bridge! We've currently got multiple tracks laid out under this bridge and we've had no issues with any of our various Thomas and Brio trains fitting through.

This has withstood 3 months of 2 toddlers playing with it and it has held up well to it's use! We love our double suspension bridge and it is our most used train set piece! My kids love using it for imaginary play with their trains, cars and wooden figures! A must for making a train set elevated and extending the play value from your set!

Sent this to my grandson for his 3rd birthday and he loves it! Bigger and cooler looking than expected, he's thrilled. It also appears sturdier than the older models my kids had growing up. Highly recommend!

I bought Brio train track, trains, and more track when my children were small. It ran all over the floor when we'd build adventures with it. The children are grown and gone on to their lives. I kept the Brio. I found the one to three way splitter and then along came the bridge I love so much.Brio isn't only for children.

By far the best bridge we have bought and come across to date.  It looks great, designed well and durable to all the drops so far and there have been many. The bridge is high enough that you can place additional track pieces underneath and even allows for some of the higher train cars to pass through.  My son can easily stick his hand into the bridge to move the train without knocking anything over or derailing the train which is great. The ramp inclines are standard that you would find with these wooden train sets.  I wish they were slightly less of an angle as my battery locomotives struggle to make it up these when you have 5 cars attached. My only complaint about this bridge is its HUGE.  It is great value for your money but when fully assembled it will not fit it on my son's Melissa & Doug play table.  After you add the incline/decline there is not enough room to attach the turns at the bottom.  It works great if you play on the floor.  I built some platforms using duplo Lego blocks to build an elevated platform so I could raise the turn pieces and have the 2 pieces of the bridge on opposite ends of the table.  This works well but detracts from the look which my son does not care about, only me.NOTE: the description says it can be separated into two pieces to make 2 smaller bridges and it can. However, you are only provided with 1 set of incline/declines pieces so you would have to purchase additional incline/decline pieces to use both or build an elevated turn like I did.Pros:- looks great- durableCons:- doesn't fit on my son's play table- only 1 pair of incline/decline track

If you are looking at this toy then you probably don't need convincing of the entertainment or educational merits of wooden railways, or wooden railways suspension bridges, so I will focus this review on comparing my daughter's experience of this Brio design with the very similar, but slightly cheaper, .In short, the Brio one is worth the extra few quid because it is of better design and build quality. The ramp track is easy for little hands to connect and sits flush with the bridge spans and the floor level tracks, whereas the Bigjigs bridge we had was more fiddly to connect and didn't quite fit properly, causing the track to stick up like an uneven pavement. The Brio design also has the supporting pylons built-in, making it quite stable when trains are being repeatedly pushed up and across it, whereas the Bigjigs version has separate wooden supports. The latter sounds more educational (i.e. it's something to build) but in practice my toddler found the Bigjigs bridge too frustrating to play with independently, since it easily fell down when trains are being pushed across it and was fiddly to rebuild. This is reflective of my broader experience of Brio versus the rest; my daughter's early sets were non-Brio and seemed fine, but once you have tried a few Brio sets you can really see the difference in the thought and care that goes into their design and construction and you will never look back.
