The patented 360° grounded multi-stranded heating element is laminated between two extra thick layers of 20mil fiberglass-reinforced silicone rubber for excellent strength and durability. The heating element is uniformly placed to maximize heat distribution and meets NEC 427.23. It is moisture and chemical resistant, with a spring closure that can be expanded 3in (76mm). The adjustable thermostat has a range of 50 to 160°F (10 to 71°C) for poly (non-metal) drums or pails. The maximum exposure temperature on the heating surface is 450°F (232°C). Heater does exactly what is claimed. We use it on a plastic 55 gallon drum of cooking oil to keep the oil viscous. Easy to install and use.

Both broke after a few months. Was also stuck with $200 customs charge that Amazon wouldn't cover. Would not recommend.

Bought for the cold winter months but did not seem to bring up to ideal temp. Was delivered late and then received a customs bill after wards.
