I use these warmers on the lowest setting on 15gal plastic buckets. It keeps my goats water warm all winter long and we are in Maryland. One time I left the vevor belt on maximum and it did melt the plastic bucket but my fault. Lowest setting is about 80degree I believe and the water never freezes. Actually stays very warm. Saves me 10trips every morning. I have finally found something that works for me and my little heard of Nigerian dwarf goats. Definitely won’t be disappointed!

I got this to heat a 55 gallon plastic drum over the winter in my shed. I didn’t want to waste my treated stash of clean water over the winter freeze. Just tried to put this around the barrel and the first spring is getting stretched to hell, and the second spring broke. Gonna try and rig something up to replace the broken spring. Hopefully this thing works better than their spring system. I have no idea until the temp drops.

We are using it to warm up Honey in 5 Gal Buckets when not using the big tanks.

Bought this the end of October. Finally had enough cold weather to use it. Took it out of the package and put it on the tank, plugged it in and seem to work fine. Now three days later it is not heating at all

This heating drum did not work upon opening, unfortunately we waited too long and missed the return window.

This heater appears to heat unevenly, and the price is also high, making the cost-effectiveness seem low. Considering these factors, I have decided not to purchase this product and will continue to look for a more suitable option.

The biggest problem is that this heating mat is designed for straight wall drums, where as pails have tapered sides. The mat is thick and doesn't stretch so it is tricky to get it sitting just right on a 5 gallon pail. The other issue I found with this is that the thermostat is wildly inaccurate, so much so that you can set it one time and then a day later it's operating 20° different from where you set it; so the thermostat should be thought of as a very crude method for setting the temperature. What I had to do was run this mat off of an Inkbird temperature controller that has its own thermocouple probe and that seems to be working OK. All in all it does the job and it does heat. It can get quite hot, but I probably wouldn't buy it again had I known then the problems I have now.
