This fax is simple, reliable, slow, and GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY!!!!. It does what it is supposed to do. It works best for transmitting faxes. The design of the print part of it is suitable for occasional use, like at home for personal stuff, not high volume business faxing. What I like best is that it is small enough to be transportable in luggage, and so I can have a fax available in a hotel room. It has a capacity of four one-touch dial numbers. For use in a hotel room, just program a 9 in front of the number receiving the fax and it works like a charm. Neat little machine!!!!

very cool little machine, had some problems with the set up, but brother cust service are patient even with people like myself, who are clueless. well made, light, perfect for the home, great price, nice looking and have always loved brother stuff as opposed to companies like hp, they even offer a 2 year extended warrenty for like 25 bucks, but you may as well get a new one. not for high volume applications, but perfect for someone who sends a nd recieves a few faxes a month or week. dont expect any problems, works well so far. very impressed. i mean this thing has been around forever, so they got it right

Marked as "NEW" Clearly used. Missing handset, cord, the paper holder and support. Was not packaged well either.

Rarely do I love it as I'm a natural born critic but this was the simplest fax installation I've ever done. Piece of cake and it worked on the spot. I only use a fax to send as I have an e-mail fax service so this is good enough for the limited use it will receive and act as a back-up should my email be down for a time. Cheap too.

Worked relatively well despite the poor print quality, while it worked but only lasted about 3 years. It no longer works…no power. Nothing. Useless.

I love this machine. Recently I purchased a home out of state. I had to sign documents and return them as soon as possible. They ask me to e-mail or send things on my phone. Sorry, but I am 75 and not that tech. savy. This worked out perfect. Printed from my computer, signed and sent back.Done. On the plus side, it was not that expensive.

Got what I paid for, so I guess not dissatisfied. Sound quality on receiver not very good. Signals on phone and fax too loud. If they can be adjusted I cannot figure out how. Many features it is supposed to have are beyond me how to make them work. No helpful instructions.

The set up for this fax machine was quick and simple. Nothing different from plugging in a phone to the land line. I had this out of the box and in use within ten minutes. I have used fax machines so this wasn't a new concept to me. It is very simple to use . You load the document, dial the number you want to call and when you hear the fax on the other end pick up push send. I haven't tried receiving a fax but that's not what I need it for. I plan to use this mainly for sending documents. I guess in this era you need to make sure you have a land line phone ( dial tone) and an outlet nearby to plug this into.
