Absolutely love this piece. Makes me smile everytime I look at it. Well made, good size. Mushrooms work as handle, so easy to open. Perks up my counter. Very affordable. I adore this salt cellar. The mushroom and the bowl of the cellar is beautiful. The red mushroom is bright and shiny. The bowl part of the cellar is mottled browns and it does remind me of dirt (in a good way), it has a nice shiny surface too. The salt cellar is rather large and could be used for other food if I want. I use Fiesta dinnerware and this mushroom piece looks so good with it. I absolutely recommend this nice ceramic salt cellar. I consider it well made, attractive, and useful.

I’ve had this for a few months and even dropped it and cracked it, it took a hard fall (i have cats) and eventually broke but luckily it was just the lid and i was able to clue it together. I use it for salt, and it holds enough to last for months. This is worth the price in my opinion! Just be gentle with it and it will go a long way!

If you don't buy salt in a plastic tube with a girl on the label, you need a pig. I bought this huge jug of pink Himalayan salt, and it is gorgeous, has fantastic flavor and looks great. Anyway, it takes six or seven turns to open the huge jug then you have to use it. Well, that's when a pig comes in--a small cellar, just to hold salt in a convenient way. The bamboo spoon in this one is about a half teaspoon, but I always measure salt by feel. Dang, I do tend to wander, just buy this little marvelous mushroom and your kitchen will thank you.
