I filled this with flour to use for baking, and it works perfectly - the holes are a really good size for flour and (non-panko) breading. It's a nice heavy gauge of steel, so I don't have to worry about damage. I do wish it had a cover, but I keep it in my cupboard, so I doubt there's much to worry about. If I find that humidity becomes a problem (it hasn't so far), I'll probably cover it with plastic wrap held on with a rubber band.
